Crazy Ivan II - Breckenridge, CO (Lake Chutes)
I've been told this is one of the hardest lines in the Lake Chutes, but correct me if I'm wrong. Filmed in February 2025.

Close Call at Palisades
Просмотров 24314 дней назад
Nasty little spill at Palisades on MLK Weekend. Traversed too far, got myself in a bad spot, tried to cut all the way back across the chute and split a mogul. Thought I had stopped and relaxed a little, but my skis were too far to the side of me instead of under me, and I started sliding. The rest is history. Thank goodness for a high din setting, because if those skis had popped off, I might h...
Limelight - Sun Valley, ID

Filmed in March 2023 on a ski trip with my father. This remains a core skiing memory of mine, so I'm backing it up here.

My first attempt at the infamous Corbet's, filmed in March 2024. Took the easy route because I'd never done it before.

I took your advice from the guide video and gave paintbrush a try. It hadn’t snowed in weeks and the conditions were atrocious but like you said, Paintbrush was still chalky. I did the tree gully far skier’s right. Once I hit the lower part that gets sun, I could barely hold an edge but it’s a sweet run.
Dang bro, that fall was gnarly... was the pitch horrible, or did you just fall in a bad way? Anyways, good to see you're ok.
I relaxed too much after the initial fall, figured I was fine. Then I started sliding, and in those conditions, could barely keep an edge when I was upright, much less sliding down.
You made that look super easy! Great to see footage of this chute on youtube, there's barely enough of it as is!
Very nice beautiful fantastic good job 👍 success new sub🏔️🏞️💠🪅🏂👍🏵️☔🌠💯
Very cool! I've heard there are all sorts of little unmarked gems on the frontside of Keystone
Wow I didn't know it is possible to stop after the first turn! Doesn't look that hard from this video.
Just gotta have a LOT of leg strength and good conditions
Just finished 4 day ski trip in JH. In addition to Hoback, Saratoga Bowl, Pepi's Run, the run under Thunder Lift are pretty much the only places with soft snow when everywhere else is icy. I did not try Paint Brush because the entrance is very intimidating. The Hoback area is huge, very few people, and soft snow. You can enter Hoback through a dense forest area which was prettiest than anything else in JH. The Saratoga bowl had the most challenging terrain, more difficult than Hoback because not much room to turn between rocks and trees.
Paintbrush is scary from the top but it’s the most fun run off of Thunder. Great run, just take a buddy with for first time
Definitely steeper in person
Was this this year
Nope, back in March 2024
I just hoping that It opens by the end of the month 🤞
Empty, where is everybody?! When was this?
November 2024. About 9:15 am on a Thursday.
@@srgbonus Nice!
When it is your first day at Rocky Mountain altitude and your legs have turned into noodles, that last section is not a green run.
SRG?
I really enjoyed this video, well done! Curious, what Dynastar M-free are you riding? How do you like them? Keep up the good work!
Riding the 99s, really good daily-driver if focused more on the off-piste!
@@srgbonus…thanks for the heads up on the 99s. Ever ski Whitefish in Montana?
@@guspachio4977 Not yet
Lower Christmas Bowl isn't extreme avalanche terrain, it just isn't open often due to lack of snow. Everything below gun tower can go entire seasons without much snowfall. When it does get snow it will rarely close.
I recognize that voice! Should post all these on your SRG channel
Limelight, Exhibition, Holiday go steep bumpy no groomed pound your face hot dog skiing! I watch a lot of videos on Sun Valley and skied there most of my life. Never here anyone talk about the 4 Blacks Diamonds. There aught to be 5 depending on the mogul and snow conditions. Put 3’ of fresh pow on a seasoned mogul run like lime light World Class!😅
The best on a pow day would be wolverine, glades, three bears, or either of the easter bowls
Christmas bowl shouldn’t be in 3rd because it often gets iced over due to the sun and people skiing it
Delete this fast.
I've only been to BC one, and I daydream about going back. Thx for posting
Grand is a decent groomer, but the best groomer on the mountain is Sundance. Over a 2700 foot vertical drop, good fall-line, and a few cat tracks you can launch off of. No run-in and a tolerable runout (cut to your left at the bottom to ski the bunny hill) back to the Bridger Gondola. 14 minute laps. I give you major "piste cred" for skiing Corbett's
Alta Chutes would be my pick, particularly Alta 1. Steep, generally very good snow, and you get a nice groomer runout in Laramie Bowl.
Very short, rocky, and frequently closed. You should go there frequently!
Lived in Vail for 35 yrs ,the best runs at the "Beav"are the birds Birds of Prey, the TREE SKIING and just about ALL OUTBOUNDS IS SICK ASS KICK ASS SKIING ,DEPENDING ON YOUR LEVEL OF SKIING, JUST SAYING!!⛷️🏔️❄️🌨️🌬️😍🌲
royal elk/blackbear r my favorites
Do Taos Ski Valley!!!
Thx for the video. I’m going to Sun Valley for the first time and will ski all these runs.
Flying Squirrel without a doubt. And this year, the run is even longer, with the Flying Squirrel expansion
I think the beauty of Sun Valley is it has all sorts of excellent terrain depending on what you like, with perhaps the exception of an overabundance of true green runs. I like a lot of the tree skiing in various areas and some of the harder to access faces that become skiable when we have enough snow myself. Flying Squirrel is great too, no doubt.
@@chadlevitan7886 And expanded this year.
Great vid !!
