Well! This is a video that's taken a long time for me to make. Honestly, a bit too long. It's difficult having your world view so dramatically changed in such a short period of time. Firstly, I experienced true, genuine equality at the encampment. There were people of all religions (including Jewish people), people of all races, of all genders and sexualities, worldviews and beliefs, etc- and it was beautiful. There were also older community members there as well! It was unity, it was strength, and it was love. There was singing and art and chanting. There was free food, and people going around giving out water, reminding everyone to hydrate because it was hot, and sharing sunscreen. There was generosity, and there was peace. Generosity from people who likely did not have much; we _are_ all college students lol-- but it was never a bother: it was always us protecting us. For context, I was at the encampment for around ~6 hours. I had to leave for work for 3 hours that was on campus, a building over from the quad where everything was happening, right as we got news that the police were going to arrive soon. It took less than 48 hours for state police to arrive and for it to be torn down. It took less than two for two surveillance cameras to be installed facing the encampment. It took the administration less time to set up cameras than it did for them to actually talk to the encampment, to ask what our demands were, and to have a conversation. They refused to talk with the students and instead summoned riot police. They told the students the only issue- the ONLY issue they had- was with the tents; that it was not allowed, that it was violating the student handbook. No person was doing anything illegal. We were on our own, public campus that we paid for. They said "we can grant amnesty, we will grant you it only if you take down the tents by 7 pm." Amnesty with a deadline is not amnesty, but a threat. Regardless, the tents WERE taken down, they were flattened as the administration wanted. Administration stopped by, thanked the encampment, then said that they needed to disperse. The response was no. The response was no because it is a first amendment right to peacefully protest. By summoning riot police and arresting over 100 peaceful protestors, the campus and police directly violated U.S. constitution. Immediately following the events of the night, the campus pretended as if nothing had happened. Faculty and student solidarity soared and everyone agreed the way the administration and police acted was wrong. Here are a couple of things that happened, from other people's experiences to my own: - The first thing I heard when I walked out of a building was the drone. I later counted and there were four drones and two helicopters (one with a spotlight). The next thing I heard was the chanting, seeing the hundreds of students around, seeing many, MANY of my friends around, and knowing around ten to fifteen were in the circle. - An elderly woman was there at the protest, and she collapsed. The police ignored her, and did not help. Bystanders standing nearby , unable to get closer, were screaming at the police to get help, to help her, to check on her. Eventually, they did, and she was rushed to the hospital. She recovered, thankfully. - When I was on the third floor balcony of a building, watching the students below scream and run away, the person next to me said "my friend is the one who is drumming. I know he's alright _because he hasn't stopped drumming._" I can never convey just how heartbreaking this was while hearing screaming and police and chanting around us. - I remember during the day, in one of the tents, was a teddy bear. I debated taking a picture but decided against it because it felt a little strange lol, but seeing that comfort item then seeing the destruction after, and not knowing what happened to that person or who they were or being able to check up on them also something I think about often. - We still had classes y'all, we still had finals! Half my classmates literally weren't in class, everyone else was dead silent, and professors were expected to continue like nothing had happened and grade finals! Thankfully, my professors all gave leeway-- a LOT of art students were there that night, it's probably why some departments could just continue on and act like normal, have finals, etc, while other departments very much could not - A friend, talking about their experience when we all were in class after, saying that he went back to the encampment after everyone was arrested, before the bulldozer, and grabbed the Palestine flag. He talked about cradling that flag as he biked home, how it was the most important thing in the world to him - Another friend, breaking down crying in front of the entire class, talking about how whenever she closed her eyes she could see the police, and acknowledging the fact that she had PTSD - A jail support car; someone who followed the police vans with the peaceful protestors in them, making sure they got home safe- retelling how the police were speeding 15-25 MPH over the speed limit at around 2 am. They explained that they were a commuter student and driving back from campus late at night they saw deer _every single night_. The police _speeding_ after the protestors had _already been arrested_ and driving that unsafely is unacceptable. Those arrested stated there aren't any seatbelts in those vans. The jail support car also mentioned that the police were brake-checking them: speeding up really quickly, then slamming on their brakes, to try and get them to crash into the back of the van There are a lot, lot more things that happened, but the most important thing to recognize is this: The police are not here to protect the citizens. They are here to enforce the status quo. But remember: community is strength and persistence is hope. We will not be silenced. Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Fighting for peace and justice is not, and could never be wrong.

Hope y’all like the song!! 🫶🏻 This song means a lot to me (this whole EP does!!)- because it’s based on how much I love my friends, and how I’ll often put more effort than most people would expect for “just” platonic friendships- I’ve driven hours to see them, put countless hours into various gifts, and I will randomly message them telling them how much they mean to me and the positive influences they’ve had on my life For example: for one of my friends I made an inspiration journal for his story he’s writing, complete with yellowing National Geographic maps from over 50 years ago that I had, handwritten notes in pirate speak, a recipe, some sketches and a painting, a locket I got, and a cool kraken metal charm I found that I glued to the front of it Another I baked a cake for and it took me 12 hours. I started it at 11 am and didn’t finish it until 11:30 pm 😂 And yet another I made care packages with handwritten letters when he was sick for each day (he probably would have been really mad at me if he knew how much I spent on it in total PFFT) We’re not going to talk about the civil disobedience I did when the police illegally arrested my friends and classmates for “trespassing” on their own _public_ campus (peacefully protesting…which is…legal….) but this also gets a vague mention, I’m truly a ride or die Regardless, this sometimes leads to some asking if I’m interested in them romantically when I show how much I value my friendship with them But despite the potential miscommunications, I will always continue to show those closest to me just how much they mean to me, and maybe one day, people will understand just “how much love I contain” I’m not sure if I’m not interested in romance or it’s really rare for me (why date someone when the clouds and sunsets make me incredibly happy?!) - if you can’t tell, I’m unlabeled LOL, I think it’d be a bit of a headache trying to figure it out and I don’t feel the need to, but this song goes out to aromantics and all those who value their friends a little more than the status quo says you should So call me punk / hat on backwards ‘cause the way I love / is unapologetically 💛 Happy pride!! 💛

RWBY music fitting really well with the life series is something I never thought about, but is very true. Especially since a lot of the RWBY songs (At least the intros) start off so nice and then switch to doom and death. Which pretty much sums up the life series. This song doesn't start of on a nice note, but it still fits the series really well.

DUDE. I’m literally speechless rn,,, THE COLOURS ?!?! I’ve never seen such like vibrancy in a last life animatic before,,,let alone like any animatic- this is GORGEOUS?!?! And the character designs ?!?! Angles?!?, Compositions?!?! the flow between scenes??!?! AND UT JUST KEPT ON GOING?!?! Scene after scene, all of it was beautiful. I think the world would waste away if I went over every part I enjoyed (all of it), but that one transition with Grian falling to turning red was INSANE?!?! I think I might be thinking about that forever. I’m glad that you’ve put this out here!!! This was amazing to watch, and it went really well with the music as well !! Idk what else I could say except I’m gonna be rewatching this over and over- I’m like in AWE?!? Thank you for this fantastic work !!!!

oh my GODS im obsessed with this. clicked on it so fast i didn't even read that it's unfinished before i noticed it in the video aksjhdkjsf It's a damn, _damn_ shame it never got finished, but even before I read your pinned comment I could also figure why. And in general, making an animatic can be a huge undertaking esp one this long, elaborate and colorful, and also just takes a Lot of motivation. I've been wanting to make animatics for like half a decade at this point but i always quit on them very early on (if i go by impulsive/chaos 'method' i get a few frames in and quit, if i go by planning and preparation i don't even get past the prep stage to the frames, the animatic never even gets started), so i get it. but even some of the roughs are just. so cool. i love the entire concept of this. And the roughs by themselves are a _ton_ of work for a 3 minute animatic!!! even unfinished I am so glad i got to see this. When It Falls is one of my favorite parts of the RWBY soundtrack and it fits so so well with Last Life, yet I never thought anyone would ever connect the dots. also your colors oh my goodness /pos
