At 1:03 that commercial seems to be what today would be considered sexist . That well heeded lady getting out with her mink stole and little doggie and hopping into that new 1955 De Soto with the dashboard lever auto transmission . A gift from Daddy Warbucks . Groucho would be proud !
Thank you for uploading these beautiful commercials . vids like this are the closest thing we have to a time machine
Oldsmobile! Glenn
Intros are dumb and I skip them.
These ads are over the top & ridiculously funny too.
I was a teen in the 1970's and i loved ehat thet call land yachts today, we had a 1973 buick park ave electra, 455. She was a beautiful machine, like driving in a living room.
I had an old Pontiac Bonneville I called "Fat Bonnie" my kids called her the couch car.
OLD BULL SHT,,,,,,,,,,,,GET IT ?????????????????????
I noticed how they advertise cars for less money. They do whatever they can, and jack up the prices nowadays no matter what it takes.
1959 Chevy is the ugliest car they ever made, 1958 is number two. What were those designer's thinking.
What are YOU thinking of? The 58 and 59 Chevys were breathless cats meow gorgeous designs at the time and thousands of nb57's to 59's are lovingly restored and show up at 50's shows and vintage car rallies each year......
FANTASTIC! Thank you!❤
The 61 Chevrolet ad is brilliant, and portends Pink Floyd's On the run video, which i assume it inspired.
Que buen video sobre un carro tan emblematico para la marca
Love some of the reasons why to buy a certain brand or model. Ford had a special double lock door latch. Chevy had a pedal emergency brake. Hilarious
She floored it on take off and it barely moved. Love it 😊
Legal imagina mais ainda no futuro as pessoas vendo isso
Very interesting video. But, as a kid in the 50's color tv was not available so much (I remember about '58 that color tv was on the horizon). Where were these ads in color appeared? Movie theaters? So in '54 or '55 as some of the Chevy ads where were these ads?
They were out there, just a bit expensive. Color broadcasts started in the late 40s if I remember correctly.
Also voices gone by the waist. They talked different back then and has a distinctive voice
Power seat and window? I guess new cars haven’t really improved
that new glide ride front suspension
is it weird that i play this to fall asleep to? lol
no
Mein erstes Auto war Manta und war in Manta Club Wittenen GUS Maik 😊
Just found your channel and had to subscribe; pretty neat content, keep it up! 😁👍
Pontiac and Plymouth were badass
Thank you, pj, for the shout out! So much good stuff but absolutely biggest thing is cross promotion across platforms always gets screwy
I love how back then every brand advertised we have the lowest price the lowest price now its lets see how much money we can get out of people for cheaply made car
Back in the days when car commercials actually show the car they try'n to sell.
I'll take one of each please. I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for an automobile todau
Never heard of a Kaiser Frazer car company before...lol learn something new everyday huh
Was Marx (16:21) some kind of a pervert, constantly shooting up his dark eyebrows as he fiddled with a long cigar?
You went through the Dodge 'rebellion', then you caught the Dodge 'fever' and became Dodge 'material'... lol !
Just no Dodging it !
Fall out
Look at the plumes of exhaust. Holy moly
Emmisions? whats that
Ja
Why did you not tell us it was American cars. There are other countries that use you tube
everything is 20k to 30k overpriced. They will not cut them enough for me to want one because I dont like the emissions regulations imposed on them.
And darling, when I get Home. You better be ready for me.😊
That's what i'm looking for the turbo fire chevrolet.
I've been looking everywhere for one of these dealerships. I just can't find any today.😢
most likely all torn down or turned into something else
Xantia más peculiar que salió cuando el del vídeo es 1.9 sd que hay escasísimas unidades era 1.9 turbo sin Intercoler
All The Things NOT, Where are the Packards, Studebakers, Hudsons, and Willys? I have seen those cars in other old car retro views. Just by dropping a few of the Oldsmobile shots, you could put in those four missing cars
I would love to have one love chrome
1957 Ford Ranchero, beautiful.❤
That ‘58 Olds is sick. 🤟
It's the devils lettuce lol😊
Dam the village is poping off george
I had a : 66 black and red vinyl soft top with spoked wheels . Wish I never sold it .
The front of the 1949 Lincoln sure has a hangdog look about it.
It’s chilling when you think of some of the accident photos of the 40s and 50s…and then notice that none of the cars had seat belts….😮
how can be accident when the car cant even reach 80km/h
