1949 Kenworth Hauling Cattle
Finally getting around to uploading a video of running the 825c. This video is of my daughter and I moving our last load of cattle to their spring pasture in tonasket, Washington . My daughter took the video and didn’t really know what to film, so be kind haha

Love the old KWs I’m looking for a b model myself
@@MaclearieFarms thank you, they are out there, but you’ll only find it when you don’t have the money to buy it haha
@@jordanlesamiz4599 that’s so true
Love the old working KW's. Couple other ones in WA too. Drove a '60 KW water truck in the Olympics for Seton Construction in Port Townsend. Need a way to put out any fires while working on logging roads. The old KW still fits the bill. Bit of a bear to get it turned on some of those skinny mountain roads , but still cool old rig. They have another '61 KW that's a boom truck.
@@theskydiverdriver7193 that’s good stuff, thank you
Beautiful Eaton Fuller Gearbox❤❤❤❤
A whole video of a dashboard? Cool truck though
@@smokum0 I’ll pass on the critique to my 14 year old videographer daughter. Hopefully with a good script and a lot of hard work, our 4th you tube video will hit a lot harder! Haha
@@jordanlesamiz4599 Was some nice shifting
@@smokum0 thank you!
What type of engine does the old girl have?
380 small cam
Did you install a 13 speed transmission with having the 4 speed browny
Three speed brownie, yes I did!
@@jordanlesamiz4599 that gives you lots of gears even if you have a small motor
@@scottscheuerman8714 ya, it definitely does. I really only use the brownie in the field or in situations where I am really underpowered because it decreases my RPM splits down to about 250, which can be helpful
AT LEASE HE HASN'T SHOWN ME ANYTHING YET!!.
No doubt you did,l don't think this ole boy can deal with it!!.
I was built in 49 I wish I ran as good as that KW
Haha, thanks!
He-man truck right there!
Yes, sir!
By the look of what we see out the windshield, a cow would have to walk a long way to get a belly full Never had a semi to move them , but taking cows to spring pasture was a joy . Those old girls knew where they were headed , and loaded pretty easy . Other end they came out the door , dropped their heads and started eating at a fast walk
Awesome old KW . Sounds like a Cummins small cam .
Thank you, good ear😉
Im trying to understand the transmission. Its two stick, but 1 looks like an old school 13 speed shift knob, with a hi-low shift under it. But most twin sticks dont use an air shift, so WTF?
13 speed paired with 3 speed auxiliary transmission
Love to see this
Thank you!
I love it,but you’ll excuse me if I put my noise canceling headphones in while driving it Signed, A Californian truck driver.
Haha, it is loud! Thanks
🤠 THATS BAD ASS. THAT SMELL 💯
Haha, thanks!
That was great, watching from Australia.
Thank you!
American Made and still going strong 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Yes sir!
Now that is a truck
Thanks!
Why you driving with interlock on
I’m not, old switch not in use
back when you needed forearms just to shift the damn thing 😅 What a beaut!
Thanks!
Sweet
I drove a 1965 2 axle narrow nose Pete with a 335 Cummins and a 4x4. It was my most favorite truck I ever drove in my 42 yr career starting in 1982. Thanks for the memories!
You’re welcome, thanks for sharing!
Hi Jordan, will you be making more videos? Cheers…
Yes, truck hasn’t been used much since last video. Getting ready for hay season, new videos soon to come
As a trucker, I feel that haven't really lived life until I have got behind the wheel of one of these. Very Cool.
That sounds gooooddd!
Thank you!
We need a new video ...but with the camera guy focus on how the driver shift the gear
Thanks for the video and sharing with us. Your daughter did a good job with her camera 👍👍
Thank you!
Awesome KW! I have never seen a truck with a 13 speed and a brownie box. I remember you mentioned in your other video that the brownie has 3 gears. Would that be under drive, direct and overdrive? Or low low, under drive and direct? Does that mean that potentially you have 39 forward gears?
Under, direct, and over. Yup, 39 gears. Really very little good reason to have it. Although I use the under in the field picking up hay. I little the twin sticks look for 1. And 2, it would have cost more money to remove it because the driveline would have needed a carrier bearing added. Thanks for the compliment!
The farmers of America don't get enough recognition thanks for all you do to keep food in the stores.
Appreciate that….
Whats it like without air conditioning. It airconditioned, twin aftermaket on the dash. No power stearing must be har d. Shes got arm 1strong power stear .ing. Low horse powed mu st be rugard. Shes got lots of HP, around 120. All jokes aside great to see an old girl out working and not a museum piece just for shows etc. I love early trucks. As a kid in the 60s i would see a semi trailer in the town and dream of driving one. Sadly never got there. Great video and hope the old girl can see many more miles.
Thank you
Молодцы ребята
This old school truck is working like a clock and doing its job after restoration. There is no need for a sophisticated technology. Move cattle from point a to b. Well done.
Thanks!
Beautiful tractor
Thank you!
Nice truck sir...
I can't believe a truck this old is still so strong and alive. 😮
Same, I’m scared to death of being the family member that piles it up😮
@@jordanlesamiz4599 How expensive is the maintenance of this giant?
@@jbryanlegarcon31 so far, very little
@@jordanlesamiz4599 I hope this truck lasts more years.
@@jbryanlegarcon31 thank you, me too!
Este é o primeiro video com som limpo desse castanhado do motor Cummins! Obrigado por isso! ❤
Very impressive....is this a "conversion" of the first gearbox to a Fuller Roadranger?
Yes
Sweet truck Tough as Nails A treasure to drive. Driver nice & smooth. Roll on 100th Birthday she'll make it easy to the Ton
Thanks!
"flashbacks" much
Vgghhhhhjjui
Mafia 2 Hank B?
Sorry, I don’t catch the reference
Second gear shift lever fo what ?
3 speed auxiliary transmission
Absolutely insanely awesome video man will you please see if you can do a really really really long ASMR video of you driving this truck and include it with engine start up and driving it through the city and on the interstate please that would be awesome. Stay safe man and have a great one.
I definitely want to get another video out, thank you!
@@jordanlesamiz4599 awesome brother I look forward to seeing it
220 cummins under the hood
380 small cam Cummins🙂
It’s been a while since I have seen a twin stick. Nice job.
Thanks!
Im not a trucker just a man that likes all kinds of vehicles. Thats awsome that that truck is STILL pulling its weight. Built during a time when Americans put pride in their work and the products they produced
Well said!
the engine doesn´t sound original
@@bobl78 ha nope, truck has over 2 million miles on it. It has been repowered 4 times. Small cam 380 currently🙂
These old trucks always going to be amazing no matter they can still use them as work don't care if it's more than 70 years old
I can't believe that these old 50 trucks are still running between 50s and 60s but they will last forever no matter what and they can still use them as work
Agreed, crazy to think about
It really nice to see a vintage Kenworth out on the road. yours looks and sounds sounds really healthy. My uncle started a logging company in the late 60's in Yamhill, OR with a 57 Kenworth. If I'm right it had a 275 and triple sticks. I really loved that truck. Take care of my truck for me! Regards from Ody Slim
Great history there, thanks for sharing!
