Doing a minimalist solo run right now as well. Things move pretty fast and yes, minthata’s scene was spicer than most,

I did this, as Bhaalspawn, and it was so fun being alone, except I still kept the cub and Scratch, but there nobody bickering you or telling you what to do. The only companion I'd really need, is Shadowheart, if I wanted to kill the Nightsong, but I didn't and just betrayed the Nightsong in Act 3 I also killed both the grove, the innocents, and the entire goblin camp. Killed Ethel. Literally just killed everyone. Betraying Jaheria was so fun as well. After murdering Isobel, I convinced her that it wasn't my fault, and the dialogue during the second battle was so cool. I felt so important lol. I ruled over the Elder brain at the end, and I did this on honour mode. XD.

In my Durge play through I polymorphed Isobel into a sheep, so Marcus ended up flying away with a majestic sheep in his arms... It was hilarious!

There is something poetic about the only 2 people staying at camp being literal immortals that you already tried to kill and are now just hanger-ons. You should ask them for rent at this point, whats more evil than a landlord?

The discount demon was feeding the spider meat to the displacer beast so that the displacer beast would stay loyal to him. If you use speak with animals, there's a whole mini questline about trying to turn the displacer beast against him.
OOOOH that makes more sense than the unhinged shit that went through my mind! Funny considering that i have potion of animal speak up at all times and still didn't talk to the demon doggo.

The dang amulet thing with the laughing dude!! Omg, my game has a bug with that, so even though I went through all the trouble to solve this mission, it wouldn't work because of the bug. 😢so yeah, made me want to toss that amulet into the flames Lord of the Rings style too!!

I believe it’s the “titanstring bow” it scales off strength, and as a solo keeping a constant elixir of hill giant strength up is pretty easy.

What I find really unique about video games is how you are actively participating in the narrative of the game unlike watching a movie or reading a book. You question your own choices and thus your own character when choices you make result in something going wrong or even just you feeling like crap because of it. For example: *light spoilers for Kagha and Rolan story in BG3* On my first playthrough, I've always looked at Kagha as a ruthless evil druid and Rolan as an ambitious prick wizard who forsakes his fellow tieflings. On a second playthrough, I found a secret quest for Kagha and found out she was led astray and when confronted, she accepted the consequences honorably for her mistakes. Rolan on the other hand, a different decision made on his story resulted in a different act 2 outcome and thus me seeing him as way more sympathetic. And thus, I ended up feeling kinda bad for judging them without knowing their full stories on my first playthrough. This is a feeling that I think is very unique to video games.
I know it’s so interesting! Not a lot of games really explore this idea! There’s like the monolith of linear storytelling in games but games are a medium best suited for affect on the player considering their involvement and action influence everything.
The harder the difficulty, the fewer the players, the more you need to cheese the fight. I'd say that was pretty boring, but then, this video is obviously not for me.
I'm genuinely a bit confused as to the meaning of this... do you just mean the gameplay is boring to you? or that the video is boring?
@@LotsofChicken The video is not boring, that part is fine and rather amusing. With a party you can take on enemies straight up, playing in a relatively normal manner. With a single player on tactician you are pushed to do things to powerful opponents like stacking barrels around them (barrels are pretty cheesy and there are too many of them). Shooting or spell-sniping enemies from extreme range while hidden, is another, but most of all it is using pre-knowledge of enemies - what they are and where they will be. For example the Meazel encounter in Act 2 (the stranglers). Quite nasty if they surprise you, but a cake walk if you know they are there an send in a high-damage AOE attack before they can do anything, especially if you are soloing and they strangle you. I just fail to see a lot of enjoyment playing with the cheese necessary to survive as a solo on tactician, using a ton of save-scumming.

I wonder how do you survive if you killed Gale then after 5 rests it is game over because he will explode, pretty much only way to avoid that is to resurrect him.
Ya I had to revive him, so I kill him and revive him over and over again. Normal behavior I know.
