I love that area of Mexico, and I'm shopping around for a family Mother's Day trip. Would you have any suggestions
Question, did you carry your drone? If yes, what are the laws of carrying one sub 250g?
What month did you go in?
We are scheduled to go Oct 18. Are you booked to go? Are you worried about the weather like I am?
Are the pools salt water or chlorine
On the H10 ‘Time Share’ Sale, if you can don’t do it, especially on a Second Visit. Did it the First visit and make sure there are some items you can use on the current visit. For us was the Romantic Beach Dinner. Otherwise the say was good.

I dont know how or what you researched but all I see here is you did not research correctly.
What room is that with the roof top ?
It’s one of the privilege suites if you get the timeshare offering. There may be other ways to book it which I’m not familiar with.
You only went to one of the parks. Xcaret Mexico is more of an eco park. People who say it’s like Disney usually mean the entire Xcaret park system or they’ve gone to Xplor, Xenses, Xavage , Xel-Ha etc. They’ve gone on the zip lines, drove the atvs or whitewater. If you stay at Hotel Xcaret you get access to all of the parks as part of your all inclusive stay and though it’s expensive the inclusion of transfers between parks, hotel and airport besides the regular all inclusive resort amenities makes it well worth the price and the parks have something for everyone.
Staying at the Hotel Xcaret to get all access & the whole experience might be the way to go. The review videos & articles that I referenced and read before booking did not mention this.
How were the drinks?
Mostly fruity & vacation vibes. Don’t expect top shelf. That being said I thought they were a 8/10 🤷🏾♂️
Hi! Do you know if any adult can go to the el beso adults pool? Or is it only the people who bought the el beso rooms?
I couldn’t say for certain. Our wrist bands did look different than some of the others, but nobody is checking them. You could probably slip right in unnoticed, but I really don’t know 🤷🏾♂️
are the animals monkeys all over
Was the price you were shown online include the all inclusive fees or were there extra charges when you got there?
No hidden fees, it was pretty straight forward
How much was the ticket for xcaret for 1 day trip only? Did you buy the ticket online or at the hotel ocean riviera? Thinking to go there but not sure if its worth it. Hope to hear from you. Thanks
We paid $130 per person purchased online. You can book through the resort but the prices weren’t any better when we were there. While I wouldn’t go back, I do feel going at least once is worth it.
Immediately subscribe. Your hook is 🔥
🙏🏾😢many thanks 🤣🤣
Can you skip the timeshare tour? Is the beach too rocky to get in the ocean to swim?
You don’t have to do the tour. The beach is accessible but nothing spectacular.
I have been there twice and wouldn’t agree with you. Excaret isn’t Disney land. This place is a whole day experience and it is worth every cent we paid. Go read reviews and you will see.
How much is the security deposit when you check in?
Thank for the video What do you say is this good hotel and friendly for families? Thank you
Absolutely, bring your friends & family! That’s what it seems best for.
How much did you add for room upgrade?
The food is awful in every eatery
Dang 🤣🤣, to each his own
Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.
Yes, it was certainly accessible. Our room tower had elevators and there were ramps all over. Also the staff did seem gracious enough to help in certain regards but I don’t want assume.
Agree totally with what you stated in this review. My wife and I went in 2019 when it was still pretty new, thought the food was great everywhere, grounds were laid out well and immaculate. All kinds of stuff to do on the resort (back then, they even had a batting cage, but I doubt it was used much). On the other hand, service was incosnistent, they werent rude, but far from the best service weve had, and we were in Privilege. We had two butlers and may have seen them three times between both. The way the buildings are separated and the number of options you have for pools and daytime places to hang out may be good for choices, but I agree that it hinders a community feel and meeting new people. And, you are spot on with the constant upselling and the push for the H10 tour. But I feel thats the case with the Cancun/Riveria Maya in general...you are being sold or hustled from the moment you get through customs until you arrive at the airport to depart for home. We are going back in two months,
what was the free gift?🤣
It was life lesson, nothing in this life is free 🤣🤣. Seriously: the option of a discount at the resort or $80 travel coupon to spend with the onsite expedia guy.
Very accurate review.... Was at this resort in 2023. Good resort, not great. Almost no beach. Could be deal breaker for most. Only ate at the beach restaurant once. Usually long lines to get seated. Ended up walking all the way back to buffet restaurant. There 5 pools, but you don't have access to all the pools. Made the mistake of not booking El Beso "adults only building". Nice walking narrow/long resort.
Great review, thank you! I'm coming solo mid April from Vancouver. I'll totally join those crazy Canucks in the el best pool singing my ass off and doing shots! can you eat like a second entree or appetizer at the Ala carte restaurants? and what was the dress code like at blue moon? I read "dress shoes". I have no intention of bringing dress shoes to Mexico. nikes or vans ok? When do you get access to the app, and how did you book transport to and from the airport? thank you!
Tennis shoes would be fine (from my experience) but that can always change. I think the goal for most dress codes is to keep an upscale feel to the place just don’t ruin the vibe and I think you’ll be fine. We pre booked transport separately, so I couldn’t answer that one.
Great video, nicely edited for the most part and a fantastic review. I'm sold! Ill be there next week! I'm curious if you know, can i get the privilege's upgrade at the El Beso side? There is no option for it but its something I am interested in.
I see a lot of comments about no AC. Is this accurate? I’m planning a vacation for a family of 5
It was not for us. The air was well conditioned in my room ☺️
I've been reading that there are rocks and larger boulders when trying to get into the water at the beach. is this true? Do i need to take water shoes?
I did not have that experience. There were storms in the area right before we went, so there were some large sand bags to prevent flooding. However, no rocks & I was barefoot. Hope that helps.
0:50 perfect description “cultural theme park & animal sanctuary, with lazy rivers, and a WONDERFUL show.” Sounds like you enjoyed it 🎉
I really did
I’m thinking of booking this resort. I’m looking the rooms I’m looking for 1 queen for my wife and I . However I can’t find another room with 2 twin beds for 2 females on the adults side.& rooms not guaranteed by request in booking. Any suggestions. Thanks Tks .
If you saw all the reviews regarding Xcaret then you should have known not to expect a mechanical ride amusement park like Disneyland. Xcaret is compared to Disneyland as a nature and culturally focused equivalent of Disneyland but not as a Mexican version of it. It's designed more for people interested in an interactive experience with nature and culture.
Exactly right! “Xcaret is designed for people interested in an interactive experience with nature and culture” Disneyland is not that at all! Both are phenomenal (but very different).
Go to the other parks in the Xcaret system. Many call it the adult Disney because there are several parks in the system a variety of adventures including zip lines, ropes tower etc.
Thank you for the video. How was the beach when you were there? What was your experience at this resort of people reserving pool chairs early in the morning and not sitting in them until later in the day?
We just got back from here a couple weeks ago. The beach exceeded our expectations. Workers cleaned any sea weed early in the morning. We never had a problem in the morning putting towels out to save our spots, everyone seemed to respect each other. We are planning to go back next year.
@@Hawkeye0825oh really? I've seen some other recent review videos that show the water going all the way up to the sandbags, the water chocked full of floating seaweed and mention that it was the worst beach they've ever been to!
I had the same experience @@Hawkeye0825
Do you think there were options to travel and see the city , transport, tours etc. to see more of Mexico other than just this hotel ?
Absolutely, the city center is no more than a 15minute taxi ride. The resort also has multiple booths offering excursion which would take you into town.
@@LetsGoPhill thanks bud. Anything we should book ahead of time ? Or it should be fairly easy and let serendipity guide us
thanks for sharing. looking for a place to take the family. been to a lots of all inclusive with friends and couples but now need to find something family friendly. again great video
Disclaimer: I don't make any money from saying, but this is a good one for families.
Is it a long walk from the waterpark to the beach - travelling with kids
It can be, yes. However there is are shuttles that drive the length of the resort and pass often.
I appreciate reviews that give both pros and cons. Thank you.
There's successes and opportunities everywhere, its good to recognize both.
Really nice review. Very detailed. Love it
Thanks, that's very encouraging and helpful.
The ending was amazing
LOL, it just needed be said but it's your choice. haha
Great review!! Where’s the follow-up video to Xcaret? 🇲🇽☀️⛱️🏝️🤿
Its been a busy couple of months, but its coming (I think).
Was the beach repaired? I’ve seen many comments on google that says the beach was damageg by hurricanes and storms. So there is no beach anymore, only sandbags. But on your video the beach looks fine.
I wasn't aware of any damage by storms, from my experience there were few sandbags and very little kelp as well.
coming to this resort in june 24 booked el beso so you're review helped cheers from scotland 🏴🏴🏴
Awesome!! I know I covered this in the video but be sure to eat the the French restaurant & have fun.
Great information! My wife and I are booked here for may 2024. Hopefully we have a better couples experience, i can deal with the sales attempts for sure thats no problem for me. We care most about the food and relaxating environment, aside from a bad beach im glad we booked this! Great video!
I’d bet you guys will have a good time, eat & relax are things this place does very well 👍
The food is good 😊
Haha same here! Maybe I’ll see you there lol
Great video and review. Thank you! 🙏 I was considering this place as a solo trip (male) and you’ve revealed what I was wondering… lacking that sense of community and most likely that’s worsened by the vast size of the property/layout. Probably a good place for friends to travel in their groups.
Exactly right! I would also recommend this place to anyone wanting to save a few dollars and still get pretty good value. Glad the video helped.
Hey Phillp - Great review and shots! What's the room shown during the H10 Tour chapter? Was this your standard El Beso room or was it a high end room part of the tour? Thanks!
These rooms seem to be at the top floor of most of the buildings (based on my drones view). Our guide said most ppl who sign up for the club don’t start off with a room this nice because you have to pay more to get into it.
Excellent and very spot on review! We just got back from a stay here over Thanksgiving, it was our 2nd time here with the 1st being back in 2017 after they first opened. We were taking our son and his girlfriend (both 22) so were looking for good bang for our buck and this place has it. Being our 2nd time here, we knew what to expect with the upsells they push and have no issues saying no thank you and moving on. Because both times we were not just a couple, 1st time there were 8 of us, we brough our own feeling of community with us. For anyone watching this, @LetsGoPhill does a great job of summing up the experience at this resort.
You guys did it right. A group of 8 at this place would be a time for sure. There was a group from Canada who took over the El Beso pool. They had the best time tossing shots & singing the classics.
