Maxxis razr 2 rear quad tyres for my Honda trx250 are sick!! They give so much more grips than stock ones and acceleration is a big difference The bike bounces / shutters around more with the thicker knobs but it’s worth it! What size are these?
Work on feathering your rear brake while in the air. you keep landing like that youre gonna break an axle or shatter a carrier bearing.
Yeah, if you notice at 2:28 I am perfect in flight but just before I land I give a bit too much throttle too early causing the back to drop
@@shaunrider5921 so one thing that helped me was to try and do too much rear brake. Not until you get to longer jumps will it matter, but it's better to land first on the front as those are independent of each other as far as your bike goes. It's unnerving as hell, but try to nose dive that thing on a 30 footer and you'll see what I'm talking about. Great riding and vid! Keep it up! Too old and crusty myself, so go big for me!

Hey I have a question, since the 250 ex has the optional clutch, if you start moving and your using the clutch can you still stall it
It’s a sports clutch, so it never stalls with or without the clutch.
Heh unless you roll it and it won't get fuel 😅

@@shaunrider5921 Did you unrestrict it? like the top speed or is it only like 70 mph as I've heard.
@@motodeer I haven’t derestricted it, mine goes 70mph max. What I’ve heard is that they are restricted in the electrics to stop the rpms going over a certain amount for a certain speed (around 60ish) so I haven’t bothered. Still quick for what it is tho

I’ve always been used to a thumb throttle so find that easier than a twist 👌

For people wanting the spacers they are from alba racing the bolt pattern on the honda trx250x EVERY YEAR is 4/144 in the front and 4/110 in the rear!!

I’ve got an 07 just ordered some new tires and jets, hoping to wheelie as good as you one day... been riding two wheels for ever, new to quads and likin it...
I don’t have jets but I can imagine the quad would be a lot better with them, tires make such a difference as well
Did a top speed run on my brothers quad now it pops and sounds like it needs help and if at higher rpm just backfired and wants to shut off but it was perfectly fine before

Just picked up an 07 that’s clean af! First ride yesterday. Need to know what’s the starting gear your pulling your wheelies in, are you using clutch to help or just a good yank on bars and throttle? Thx. Have wheelied every bike I’ve owned almost. And want to master the quad, so far looped it in first using the clutch... no biggie, sport clutch kept it stopped while I got off my arse...
I started off learning in gear 1, standing on the back bar and just giving it throttle. If sitting down It’s easier to use the clutch but you still need to pull on the bars. Good thing about this quad is that you can make mistakes and it won’t do harm
Heh we have all fell on our butts trying to wheelie the 250 with a stock rear bar I think tg makes a bar that sticks out more and is allitle wider

Depends on what you use it for. For a mx track, it’s not powerful enough, but for general use and stunt riding it’s the perfect bike.
Sorry for the bad quality. I was lucky the quad didn’t land on me, however as I hit a steel gate at speed you can guess the damage done to the quad!
My crash was worse 😂 kinda wrecked my quad
