Your meant to remove the ring pull lid and turn upside down and leave it in the microwavable container and cook it in that, not empty it out on a plate.

i bought one of these a few years ago and it should have been named toad in the coal hole , it came out as black as the hobs of hell , looks like they've improved them , i might try one again with a big dollop of mash and onion gravy

My partner and I have been to Malgrat 6 times stopping at different hotels, although we haven't been since 2011 due to our age and disabilities. Fantastic place along with Santa Susanna. We used to frequent the Rover's Return and The Drunken Duck. Don't know if they are still in business.
