You should NEVER strap your handlebars to your bumper with any tow system like this. Just strap that front tire into the Chalk securly and she won't lean in turns.

If you have a problem putting something like that together without instructions, perhaps take it to your bike or car mechanic. They can do it with their eyes closed.

The Berkey printed instructions are poor. The illustrations do not match the parts OR they sent me the wrong parts. On the Travel Berkey they did not send me no. 10 item, large sealing washer. That's why I'm watching your vid. Wish I had not bought this Berkey with all the hassle its costing me.

When you run your electric fence you will want to run one strand as a ground. That allows you to put in ground rods in the fence lines not just at fence charger. Electric fence is limited by moisture to carry the shock. In Tucson we had to put a ground rod every 500 feet for goats. That bare ground is coused by capping of the soil and allows the water to just run off easy fix with hooves to break the cap. You will want to fence them down pretty tight the first year even if you have to feed a little hay. I don't fixed 900 acres west of tucson so have a lot of tricks up sleeves

Cut a bevel on the end of a 2x4 or 4x4 to act as a ramp so you can load the bike with the carrier higher up. Didn't this thing come with directions? You should NOT attach those straps to the corner of your vehicle. When you make turns one side will go slack and the other side will pull your bike over. Who engineered that thing?

A block under the tire holder and a ramp would really make this a 1 man job. Also using a floor jack under the front tire would prevent damaging the jack screw. The more straps the better.

Thank you SO much. Made it much easier. I did use the blue prime rite universal primer & it worked great. Only took seconds, maybe 10-15ish. The other round cork looking thing was a pain. I saw a post about that yellow strap being garbage. Broke free which made the bake break free and flip three times. Definitely use your own straps.

Thank you for this very very helpful video. The instructions seemed complicated to me. I also was provided 2 sheets of contents that didn't match up. I was concerned because I just opened it today and had been procrastinating on putting it together...and purchased it last October and most definitely past the window of return on Amazon. Mind did NOT come with floride filters but they are on order. I was wondering if you were able to put them on? Doesn't seem like there is enough space to install them 🤔

Their instruction is not easy and kind to a Berkey newcomer and I looked for other videos on RUclips, but those videos were all somewhat irritating. This video is so helpful without blur blur chat like other videos. For a beginner, this is the best video to learn how to use Berkey Travel!

Thanks for the video! My Big Berkey arrived today! I haven't opened the box because I think I should have bought the Travel Berkey. Only me at home (and I drink about 3 litres per day) but I also have lots of house plants. I'm doubting my decision because a friend has the Travel Berkey and says it's more than enough for him and his 3 pets. They say it's not good to have the water sitting for ages. Your advice would be very appreciated!! Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't swivel then it's not worth buying I suppose if you buy it you can always weld it up and make it swivel but I'm not taking the chance on anything that hooks my motorcycle to a trailer hitch and when I go around the corner it leans over I just don't think that's a very good idea because it needs to swivel so it can move side to side as you go around corners but for the price I suppose I could buy it and make it swivel myself

Great job on the instructional vid. Helped me confirm correct assembly. Only comment I would have added was to hold on to that priming button for future cleaning. I also wanted to see what the upper chamber looked like after the black purification filters were installed because the bottom of the chamber is flat, but both of my black purifiers are leaning slightly to the outside, touching the edges of the tank.

I welded a piece of tubing to the underside of a hitch . I flip it over to where the tubing is on the top. I take the front wheel off and run a long bolt through it. Two straps and off I go. Takes about 5-10 minutes tops. Works in a pinch. I’ve towed motorcycles for hundreds of miles that way.

Great assembly demo! Will assemble watching your video if I decide to purchase a unit. Current 2021 price, btw, is $374. I'm guessing the astronomical cost increase is due partly to COVID and panic buyers.

This is a no no for me...I could live loosing my bike, but would never be able to to forgive myself for killing a family driving behind me. Many of these carriers are either made in China and imported, or made in USA with ZERO engineering knowledge of welding or material stress. It will be just matter of time to see...
