Well, it was new to me as I hadn't noticed it before. Looks like when you hover over a filename in the open recent list, it displays a thumbnail of the file in addition to the file info. A welcome change.

Roundtrip of Reallusion's new Audio2Face plugin, making the process of generating lip sync via audio basically a one click solution. For this example, I overlayed an Accuface viseme track to enhance the lip movements a bit more. But, essentially, the A2F json file has not been modified. The character movement is an idle animation from the content library.

Polyfjord did a recent Live Stream where he created a high quality image using just curves. I followed along and rewatched to recreate what he had done. I then put it into an animation shown here.     so there is a blender plug in that allows you to export this animation to blender? nobody covers this in any videos. also, out of curiosity, do you know if theres a way to switch out the character once you have it in blender? say for example if you have a more detailed version of the character or if you wanted there to be 2 different characters doing the same thing?

      Yes, you can find the CC4/iClone8 plug-in here: github.com/soupday/CCiC-Blender-Pipeline-Plugin (that is installed in the Open Plug-in directory in both CC4 and iClone8. Make sure the version of the plug-in script is the same as the Blender add-on, or you'll end up with conflicts. This file is essentially a python script and its very small. Follow the readme text file that explains the process found on Victor Soupday's Github or in the zip file itself) On the Blender side, you'll need the addon found here: github.com/soupday/cc_blender_tools (this is installed in Blender like all other addons, as a zip file. It handles the importing of the character model, animations, textures and so forth. You'll need to specify on import whether you'll use Eevee or Cycles. But, you can also reset the materials after import as well. This addon is much, much larger than the aforementioned python script above. So, it shouldn't be hard to confuse the two, but I have seen posts on the forum and on the Reallusion discord channel that have run into that user error problem). As to importing a low quality character and then changing it up to a higher poly character. Yes. This should be doable. The addon and plug-in even allow you to import just the animation. So, you can animate a base character in iClone8 and then just export the animation to a different character in Blender. Remember, to keep the process simple, the source rig and the target rig, have to be the same, otherwise it would involve some additional tweaking. I personally haven't tried this myself, but I've seen others do this. I think even Victor Soupday, the maker of the addon has something like that on his youtube channel.

      This was a USD export direct from iClone8 using the wrinkle test animation from CC4, if I remember correctly. I used the 'send character to iClone' in CC4 then exported the animation with lights and camera via USD to Omniverse Composer (then called Create at the time). As I said, I was trying to test the wrinkle maps that had just been released by Reallusion. Sadly, they didn't work in Omniverse at that time when I made this. I went back and was able to open the USD file in the latest version of Omniverse Composer, though my directory structure for the materials got all messed up with another character I tried to export, so it doesn't look all that great now. My system is pretty old and even though I have a 3080, it takes forever to load Omniverse and Unreal, which is why I haven't done much since these initial tests.

    I think it turned out fantastic! I don't know how your materials are set up, but it should be possible to set up wrinkle maps in Blender Eevee. ruclips.net/video/3jkH4N4hWcA/видео.html I've followed this tutorial which uses geometry nodes and vertex data to generate the stretch and compress maps. It should be compatible with both normal maps and displacement maps (I've only tried the normal maps, personally.)

      Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. Been dipping into GeoNodes a bit recently and and building up my confidence in utilizing them, mostly for modelling (arrays and such). BTW, the shader setup came from the default maps created by Victor Soupday's CC4 to Blender plugin. Not sure what version it was at the time.

    There is not anymore a cavity by the export.. the result isn't so good yet with the jaw.. any idea how to solve this?

      I found that the jaw was very stiff too, especially in custom created characters. I tried the same animation on a custom created character and it looked very crude. I posted a comment on Markom3D's channel and he mentioned that the Audio2Face mesh is a higher poly mesh than the base CC4 character, so doesn't translate well when it comes back into CC4. I think I needed to turn subdiv to a higher number before rendering. He also explained that it may be due to skin weights not aligning with the jaw bone. It was something Omniverse was made aware of, so I don't know if there's a solution to the problem yet.

      @@leodegrance5609 the jaws don't work at all I think. Maybe due to the fact that the cavity file is not anymore exportable. Now I could fix with deleting the mouthmove key frames and it replacing by acculips.. any ideas why the jaw couldn't work beside that they modified something in a more recent update? 😅
