THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO! Now, if you change the gussets, do you think it would give an even better result?
Great video man
Hi! Really loving all the content of the Forester. I just recently bought the exact same model and you're an inspiration for my build. I see you put different tail lights, so they're 100% compatible? I think those 04-06 loke way better than the restyling ones? You know where can I buy them? Thanks!
Pleasure to saying hi! I'm Sam from El Salvador and i just recently bought my first car, a Subaru Forester 2.5 XT with automatic transmission and Limited trim. I think it's the same from the video. I'm very excited of owning a Forester because it marks all my checklist about a practical car, with good amount of power and lots of cargo space, and the one thing that excites me the most, the AWD system, because i'm planning to do a lot of camping and overland some dirtroads in my country. With all that being said, i would appreciate A LOT if you can tell me the most important things to keep in mind maintenance-wise about the vehicle, about the engine, electronic, suspension and transmission components. The previous owner was a 70 years lady that kept in her garage a lot of time, with only 115,000 miles on it. What are the first things that i should to to the car? Parts that i should check and change, change of fluids, timing belts, valve gasket covers and so on... Thanks for reading me and I expect all the support and opinions from all the community. Also if you know about dedicated websites about Forester or forums that i could check out, would be very appreciated. Greetings!!!
I have a late '05 SG XS that looks otherwise identical but without turbo. I'll do my own research into which power steering fluid to use but thank you for showing the process.
So Beautifull my man! mnake me want to get a similar one! Atm I'm on my first subaru just a standard 2006 SG 137horsepowers no hook in the back... but its still crazy good in the winter and very deep snow
I watched several of these videos and had no luck with my 2021 Outback push-button start. Finally, THIS is what worked: 1. Have car off. 2. Turn on "super accessory" mode by pushing start button twice without foot on brake. Everything on the dash will turn on. 3. Quickly, engage and disengage the seatbelt 24 (twenty-FOUR!) times, ending with the seatbelt off. I did not do the quick in-and-out holding the seatbelt latch in, but actually went through the locking step each insertion. 4. Quickly turn the car totally off by pressing the start button. 5. Turn the car on as per usual without wearing the seatbelt. The alarm will sound a few times, but the seat-belt light will not come on, and you can now drive without a seatbelt/alarm driving you nuts. I plan on using this when I launch my boat and jump in and out of the car many times to do so.
What wheel and tyre specs you running brother looks dope!!
Can u put a link for the gasket? Do you need to replace the pre filter as well?
Dude, i currently have an 04 legacy outback LL Bean edition... A Forester can't be worse 😅
Thanks I’m lifting my 2007 2 inch strut spacer lift with 2 inch trailing arm lift this weekend. I like the black roof although I live in Vegas and will be keeping my white top for heat reasons. I’m going with a budget lift with all new control arms (60 per front 60 per trailing arm bushings wallered) so overall 380 for lift kit. 130 for wheel spacers, 220 for white line strut under hood cross bracket in front, and 40 for camber bolts. Wheels im going to refurb my stock rims with a bronze wheel finish and then put on 215/70/r16 tires but I’m looking for some used currently. Hopefully all done by next weekend but I’m fighting a head cold so might wait to start til next weekend
Interesting considering the soft release part appears to be on the driver's side
Yeah very interesting. I’ll have to see if this will fix mine. That’s crazy that small piece slows it down. Doesn’t really make sense
Don't do the grease. Very very bad. Use a dry lube. Regular grease collects grit and dirt. Which will wear it out faster.
So I really want to have that look but I need to do the research. It isn't really even good for your car to do spacers right? How has yours held up? Any problems? Great video.
did you just used the new springs to subaru stock strut ?
Def could use some spacers
Hey man just wondering do you run at all with your wheel set up ? Any modifications? I wanting to run your exact set up it looks so good !!
great video
Why not just disconnect the battery rather than taking the glove compartment out to disconnect the power to fuel pump?
Also wondering this
You are like Jay Caspian Kang's better-looking younger brother.
Dude thank you for doing the process correct by completely buckling and unbuckling the seatbelt. It worked! I watched several others where they would hold the red seatbelt button down to make it faster and it was not working. Thank you 👏🏻
Bro! I love what you have done with this Forrester- I love them & I need one.🤩
What tyres you have?
Sick build man!
Can't believe they're not leaking yet. That's what i actually came to see repaired.
This thing is sick. Good choice on the ADF parts. That's what I run also.
That 80 turned into 120 after 3 years. Very nice
That's not the fuel filter that's the fuel pump
What wheel rims are those, and are they 4x100?
What size wrap is that?
Your going to go through rotors not pads with the DTCs 50-70
Would you mind providing a link to the part you used in this video? Thank you. Exactly what need for my 2019 GMC!
You were not cutting "vertically", you were cutting longitudinally.
I Love driving a red car. Feels safe and highly visible to oher drivers
I replaced them both and the new ones failed immediately
☝🏾❤️🤙🏾
awesome. we have very similar builds! i have the 06 LL bean with a 2 inch adf spacer lift with king springs. love what you did with the black vinyl wrap. definitely considering doing the same to mine now! also if you're a fan of the offroad lights or consider doing a light bar on the front bumper like i have, i highly recommend looking into an auxpower LED switch controller for your light setup. its completely customizable with up to 8 switches for all your lights or other accessories. definitely worth the cost in my opinion. great job again man. i'm super jealous of the hood scoop xD
I have seen alot of people complaining about the bassets is unround and wobbles alot. have you experienced this?
Tank you for this tuto!
Needed this
Great jobs!
"Remove power from the fuel pump" Proceeds to disassemble glovebox to access power connecter rather than simply disconnecting the battery 🤦♂️
I just bought one and it was easy to put together. Took just one female. LOL💪
Have a 2001 outback wagon with the 2.5L engine and 5 speed manual. 180,000 miles. Gonna try this out, hopefully can get it running a bit smoother. Any recommendations on the type of economy oil used? Great video man thanks!
Can you provide the link for the spoiler I can’t seem to locate myself TIA
i tired all the channels and it doesn’t work
Miss my 07’ Forester. Also miss my 2011 Forester Touring. Just bought a 22’ Forester Wilderness. Great vehicles.
What size tires are those? Also your spacers and wheels what sizes? I'm wanting to build one so I'm getting ideas
Have you had very many issues with CVs or other suspension components from the lift?
Just lifted my 08 yesterday! 1.25 front! 2.50 rear! Keep the racked out look! Your build is so sick man props an gives me tons of good ideas! 🤜🔥🤛
