One of my first jazz albums was Moanin' by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, released in 1959, and I bought not long after it came out. The title tune got to me and my teenaged self sat down at the piano and figured out how to play it. I grew up watching Laurel & Hardy on TV. One of my favorite films of theirs was "Sons of the Desert", mainly because of this song that performed in it, "Honolulu Baby".
