From my experience, I had hard start issues trying to select mild or race. Even tho I have a mildly aggressive camshaft, running it in stock and letting it build a base seem to work for me. I recall Aces speaking on this in one of their livestreams on YT. Personally I would select Stock/mild, let it learn.

I’m running one of Holley Muscle Car EFI modules. They internally regulate to 58psi and doesn’t require a return line. Also comes with a hydramat to help fuel starvation.

One quick question my dart has a 4 point ballast. Do you know how does that get connected? It’s same way one side to the other side? Meaning connecting it from one side to the other ? Sorry hard to explain 😂

Sloppy Stage 3

So, on my rails, I have my crossover front of the engine. The rear passenger side is cap and the rear driver side rail goes into a AN fitting adapter that has a NPT spot on top like something you would see on a fuel log carb setup. I’m running a returnless setup since my in tank pump self regulate 58psi. The AN adapter fitting houses my inlet and outlet along with my FPS. In my handheld, I have my fuel pressure set at 58 to match my in tank pump.

I haven’t had any issues with throttle response but, my setup is cable driven. I can’t speak on a wired setup. It’s recommended to let it idle for 30mins and drive for 30mins to develop somewhat of a tune.

Wait, like little needle bearings? If so, probably from the lifter. It’s common for those lifters to fail on DoD motors.

I got mines from a donor 08 Silverado but you could find one in a truck at a junkyard or pull yard. Be sure to get the mega fuse and the box it sits in. It has studs on both sides which you can use to run from your starter etc. I’m sure yours will sound awesome! All cammed LS sound wicked!

I didn’t. I had the heads mock on to prevent trash etc from going in since I was outside.

@kerryhunter6304 now you can use wooden dowel pins in the oil galley holes behind the timing chain to hold the lifters up. Buttttt I’ve never personally done that before 😅

I have the starter wired up like a traditional sbc but, I ran my hot wire through a mega fuse like a Silverado. As far as the alternator goes, I have it wired to a key switch hot.

Definitely gonna be looking for your content on your brake discovery! As far as a cluster goes, for the time being, imma try doing a ACES EFI setup with a handheld buttttttt I’ll definitely like a more traditional cluster setup 🙂

I’m definitely interested in the 8.8 swap, imma do some research on it. I know there’s something about the offset on the axle tubes.

I didn’t have any issues with it, but I only got engine stand run time on it. As far as getting it running, up to temp etc, it work fine. As far as in a vehicle, I can’t say as when I end up with this in one of my projects, I went ahead and did a DOD delete but I left the camshaft in. No issues.

@@TKSpeedShop cool I will need to buy the coil harness correct what brand did you buy. I'm assuming every complaining about running rich is not adjusting the fuel pressure from that 45 psi how do you still feel about it do you feel like it's running good

The first one (19005218) are found common on truck engines

@@TKSpeedShop I just now seen a video about it does not give you an alternator wire how did you run the alternator wire?

I didn’t run a coil conv harness because I ended up running LS3 coils off Amazon cheapppp. Adjust the fuel to exactly what your system is running on definitely helps the hard starts and rich conditions. If you already have an exhaust system, then you won’t have any issues with the o2s reading funky. So far, I haven’t had any issues. It’s basically Holley but still in the development systems with system updates and tweaks. The programming is definitely not as friendly or forgiving as Holley but again, it’s a system that’s still being developed everyday. As far as the alternator goes, I used the ICT billet 1 wire since that’s the alternator I’m using with my setup and I have it running to a key switch hot bus bar.

I personally haven’t had that issue but, I have read from the forums that when an error like that occurs, it’s best to reset the system and update the firmware with the system. You can download the current firmware on their website for your system.
