The Rambler

This channel was formerly "The E-Bike Rambler" I decided to start over with a new one. The old channel is still there for now.
I have some new things going on this year, and I am expanding on my content since those plans include much more than just my E-Bike rides, LOTS MORE! Also, the reason for shortening the name.
I will start transferring videos over soon and getting the channel organized. I am also creating a new introduction video as well so look for that soon as well.
Last year was my trial run to learn things, this year I am still learning but I know more than I did.
It's all about getting my life back after being disabled and spending 5 years on a major pity party of depression, bad depression that I still battle from time to time. I want to live again, join me!

This little adventure pissed me off something fierce so I gotta put a language warning on this video, I drop a ton of F-bombs. This kind of unnecessary bullshit has been a thorn in my side for decades as a mechanic. These engineers design this stuff like it is never going to have to be worked on or taken apart again and most mechanics I know despise engineers for it. I am definitely one of them.

Other than GoPro problems this was a nice ride. Although the park ride itself is less than a half hour it was an hour and a half ride to get there and an hour and a half back, so it was a decent day trip. LED Upgrade

One of my passing lights burned out so I decided to upgrade the head and passing lamps with LEDs, blinkers and such have to wait a bit. The passing lamps were plug and play but I did need to do some basic wiring (just match the wires to attach the harness). I have put some miles on this foam cover for GoPro called Windslayer now and this is what I think about it. (I think I misnamed this a couple of times in the video) Biggest con? Just a short video with my thoughts on the ride up through Door County Wisconsin's Coastal Byway. (I took highway 42 north to the ferry, and highway 57 south back to Sturgeon Bay WI.) Now before I get flooded with people telling me what I missed, I know, I went on this trip specifically for the Coastal Byway ride. I plan a more involved sightseeing trip at another time.

This is the ride itself and as usual I cut out most of the long flat straightaways to get to around an hour. Actual record time according to the GoPro was 1 hr. 48 min. ( /-? for battery changes, overheating shut offs etc.) Weather was unpleasant as you can see but I have ridden in worse, so I was not deterred. Took a walk through this county park to start off my efforts to get out and walk more. Apparently, I need more of that specific exercise to build my balance and strength up. The reason for running the bike after install is to look for any strobing which could indicate a poor connection somewhere.
