Physical and Financial Reasons to Change Your Business Up
The yards I have in Mountain City the weeping cherry trees the leaves are gone it's going to be a early fall because it's usually late September before they fall there all gone now
Yep that was my thoughts. They will come down quick this year
My ex used to mow when a neighbor did because he has an ego problem.
@@ElementalDivinity now thats funny
I have one customer that is so hard to schedule a visit with. I typically text him the day before and let him know that I'm coming. I do this because I like for him to know my arrival day and time, so that he can bring his German shepherd into the house, from the back yard. He almost never acknowledges, or when he does, he tells me that he won't be there, so there will be no way to access the back yard (because of the dog). So it's always a challenge with this customer on every single visit. On top of that, he doesn't pick up his dogs poop. Needless to say, he's probably about to be dropped. Having said that, he's in a wheelchair and I know he needs me, and likes me, and needs the help. It's a tough one. Maybe an uncharge for pet waste.
@@blackstonlawnservices9898its hard but ive been told take feelings out of it. Makes business decisions easier. I still have a hard time doing it
Same thing here in west Tennessee bro and love the Mountain View’s there
Been to dry this season
@@pandhlawncare amen and got .4 of rain last night better then nothing but in the 70s today beautiful here
Poplar, sweet gum and others are starting to fall in east Alabama. Speaking of leaves, have you decided whether or not you are going to pull the trigger on bagging system for the Turf Tiger? I've about decided that I'm just going to mulch.
Not happening this year. My daughter started UT and there went my money..lol
Has it been dry all summer for you ? If so it could be that Elneno effect where the pacific is either cooling or warmer . One of which makes it rain less in the southeast . I don’t know if that effect would affect the leaves ??
Drought, constant rain, drought. They should fall fast and early this year
@@pandhlawncare I don’t believe in global warming warming . I believe in climate change as it has changed from the beginning of time .
Why don’t you ask Punxsutawney Bill that’s Punxsutawney Phil‘s cousin he works in fall.
@@Julks1990 good one. I think theyre going to come down quick this year. Its been way too dry for a few months now
@@pandhlawncare yes I agree, they are coming down in Ga already.
The golf ⛳️ course in my neighborhood has the same backpack blower
Idk buddy
Late fall. We typically have this hot drought in the beginning of August. It's later this year.
@@thisoldrelic we had it last month too, barely rained
Whats the smallest deck size they have for the cheetah?
The web site says 61” and 72” but i thought you used to get a 52”🤷🏻♂️
@@pandhlawncare yes that's what I've seen on some videos that people be having the 52"
@@qualitylandscapemorellc it says “black out edition” on the site so that may be why. Im friends with my dealer. Il text him tomorrow if yall want and see if the 52” is still available
Thanks bro
The tiger cat2 is the way to go. I have a 2024 tiger cat with the vanguard
@@ATRLawncare i loved my tiger cat 2. I have a turf tiger 2 now. I just like demoing mowers
@@pandhlawncare 10/4. I also have a 2023 Toro HDX with a 31 Kawaski. Super-fast. Cut quality is pretty good.
Rather keep the Turf tiger 2 pedal then peg! Big difference...overall great machine 💪,! Scag is built like a tank 💪 👌 👍 😎
@@wilfredosantiago47 yes it is, and yes im keeping the TT2. I like to demo mowers out of curiosity and then i just pass along my opinion.
You have any problems with scalping someome told me to go with the 48 because of that if you say it doesnt ill go 52
@@haydenshores9943 i never did with mine. Just float the deck with the footpedal when there a dips etc.
They usually have a stripe kit equipped from the factory as well but u want to mow that fast to maintain alot of yards and still have time to enjoy ur day and not be mowing all day from a slow mower lol 😅😅 effective efficient more productive more money 😎😎 the efi kawasaki is a monster yes the deck pedal does blow but it's adjustable somewhat
i have the 2024 Cheetah 2 as well and I agree about the deck pedal. But it's something I plan on adding a piece of plate and extend up and to the left a bit. That should make it much easier to access and use. Other than that I love it. It is fast and strong, The Kawasaki puts out 38hp.
@@phwlee ok insaid 37 but i was afraid i may have been off. That correction to the deck pedal should perfect it. Thanks for watching
If you think thats fast take a Bobcat ZT7000 for a spin! Great video 👍🏼
Thanks. I would but no bob cat dealer near me
Nice review. Too bad you couldn't get the v ride. I would love to test out a v ride XL, however, i can't even find a dealer with one in stock
Mine has em in stock, just not to demo. Want me to buy ot and ship it to you..lol
Hey man let me know when you go to the echo Headquarters in September if echo is coming out with a new echo pb 1010 backpack blower this year
I was influenced to buy Toro because of the Spencer’s. I’m glad I did because I’ve had zero problems with that brand and zero problems with my Toro dealer. I’m in NC. I’m a stihl guy, dealers are in my area. My dad give me his old stihl 028 and it makes me money today and that saw is 40 years old. If I had an echo dealer near me, I’d like to try a 9010.
Real good looking mower, Gat after it!
Yea i like it but after i got back on my turf tiger i was like now this is much better
That Cheetah has been outfitted with the Turf Tiger seat, which raises the center of gravity.
Thats the cheetah seat
I stand corrected, the dealer imformed me the tiger car 2, cheetah 2, and turf tiger 2 all have the same seat now. My apologies
Hey man nice scag mower man
That’ll be dead in 2028
@@jamessisco6445 lol, the owner hopes
Hey man let me know when you are going to the echo headquarters in September and let me know when you find out if echo is coming out with a new echo backpack blower this year
Ah yes liquid lymphoma
i know your a sit down guy, but if you get a chance, demo a stand on mower. you need to experience it once.
@@chrischris1782 thats what i went to demo but it was out so i took the cheetah..lol
No. I can’t buy something from someone who says buy it because they got it for free.
you influenced me to give Echo another try. When i was highway maintenance boss my guys hated Echo but after following you i gave them a shot on a personal level.
I hope that turned out well
I demo'd a VRide and loved it. But my lawns / yards are chocked full of obstacles. No way I could run a stander, and feather the deck with one hand. On my rider, my foot stays on the deck lift!
@@blackstonlawnservices9898 exact same here man. Injust want to try it tonsee what all the fuss is about
@pandhlawncare Since you mentioned the GrassFlap: I'm thinking about getting one for my TigerCat. What's been your experience with using the GrassFlap as a tool to mulch leaves? I'm sure it'll take a couple of passes, or three. And have you used Scag mulch blades, along with the GrassFlap, to process leaves? Thanks!
@@blackstonlawnservices9898 yes yes and yes. Check out poor boys leaf cleanup and you can see what the grass flap and scag mulch blades can do
@@blackstonlawnservices9898 i love the grass flap, great people. Made in KY
I don’t know of any. I watch reviews on products I need and try to listen to the ones that give me the most info that I can use to hopefully narrow my search but frequently I know the brands and get what I like . I have Echo PAS system with a power head edger string trimmer hedge trimmer extension and chainsaw . For a blower I use only echo a big hand held and the big backpack. Walk behind mowers I have the 30 inch Farris with the Kawasaki and a Honda HRC. I have a wright stand on and a grasshopper zero turn . I have a large Lesco spreader . A billygoat walk behind blower I use eagle gas cans . I have a beautiful all aluminum trailer from ATG of Ocala Fl (aluminum trailer group ) . I pull it with a 2022 ford F350 gas engine the Godzilla V8 they call it . I had a banks small turbo installed on it with a very mild tune to help me pull my camper through the mountains but it pulls my atg work trailer like it’s not even there . I don’t know influencers I just no what I like from 45 years experience
What Steve said. I've been in this industry for almost 40 years. I know what works for me but I'm always open to new products or ideas that i may have missed. More often than not, I'll see something that someone is pushing and realize that it isn't really a good idea despite what they're saying As an example, without naming anyone, several companies are pushing their new trailer less set up with a certain product. I already know that won't work for my business
@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement yea i dont like it either
No random guy on RUclips will influence my decision but will inspire me to do research to determine if he's the real deal or got diarrhea of the lip.
@@stevef.9659 lol
I like what i have. However, i am checking on battery-powered trimmers etc.
Love em both, but remember one importa.t thing with the stand on...those yellow jackets that were after you,if need be you can step off and run instead of climbing off and running lol
Thats a very good point
I’m 41 and had sit down Scags forever. This year I bought a new Ferris stander 61. I do love it.
Im going to demo one this week, scag vride. Our ferris dealer is awful
@@pandhlawncare right on. Good luck with your new search
Who doesn't pick up their dogs 💩? I would a few times a week when i had 2. I mowed my own yard and of course I would before mowing.
A lot of people dont. Super annoying
Great question I would like to run a demo to see how I felt about the stander
@@user-kr8bw3yw6g you read my mind. Im going to soon
The question I think you're asking is stand on or sit down. They are both available as zero turns. I have used both I perfer stand on easier to get on and off, better on hills, more efficient.
On the gravely pro stances i run they have a foot deck lift pedal right by the platform so floating the deck on the fly is super easy.
Stand on can step above if you lose control on a hill can step off an pick up stuff can blow off with them and If your good enough you can edge with trimmer with them the list goes on
Ill never buy another sit down. Stand on is a lot more maneuverable goes on hills better, cost less sometimes then a sit down and just in general somewhat safer in my opinion. Also green guard makes a shoot blocker that is electric and is very reliable that can put just a rocker switch right at your fingertips while using the stander. I blow off properties while riding my stander all the time and have even weed eated a little while riding. That Walk behind leaf blower that you had? You can turn the deck on while running a backpack blower and move leaves as well if not better than that thing could
I finally broke down and bought a stander this year love using it on my simpler lawns when I get to my more tricky yards with lots of roots, rocks, and ditches I jump back on my sit down it is so much easier for me to float the deck on those yards on a sit down. I’ll always want both. My opinion. Thanks man!
Thats my main concern is being able to float the deck with my foot. I have a feeling stander is going to win this contest
@@pandhlawncare I love getting on my stander after sitting though for sure it’s just refreshing man. Makes it easy to get gates and trash/obstacles. I’ll always wanna have both around.
@@hunterstombaugh224 i plan on running one for a couple days this week
I charge more if you have pets and don't clean up behind them
I just started a pet waste provision this year. Didn't think I would need one because I offer that service for an additional fee. But here we are. I did have former customer that they had a special small fenced area for the dog to do their duty. Access from deck stairs and other gate was always locked couldn't get a push mower in there. I wore a face shield to clean up that area. That was year oneof my business and one of two contacts that didn't make it to year 2. I lost a customer probably because of the pet waste provision this year. They were the only one that got it. I got sick of the smell on my tires.
And the chance of facials
I did have a clause regarding pet waste in my contacts when I was still in Tampa. Only ten percent of my clients here in Tennessee are under contract. I'm changing that this off season
@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement best thing i ever did was adding a contract
Hey man I was wondering what is echo”s power on athon
Wanted to ask if you had an opinion about the Honda HRC 216 HXA mower . The one with Roto stop and the shaft driven transaxle ???
@@marklloyd4153 in all honesty i dont know enough about it to make an intelligent conment. I have the HRX 217 HYA, bought it new in 2019 and not one issue. Still cranks first pull
@@pandhlawncareexactly the same feature wise I have 2 of those . The HRC that I’m looking at has similar transaxle but instead of a belt drive it has a shaft drive , a Honda GX 160 motor ,steal deck and a better air filter system . My 40 year experience with Honda mowers is the same as yours. No problems . I think I’m going to buy these 2 HRC commercial mowers because you will never be able to buy them new again in the states . You will be able to buy them new in Europe but not familiar with them . Also available in Australia which I am familiar with the Aussie Hondas don’t work well in the states as they seem to have lower cut finner grass blades than here . Their decks look very different
Dang man, I can't believe the number of yellowjackets you are coming across. I think they are seeking you out. Be safe.
It happens this time every year. I just think this year its a lot worse. Im finding multiple a day
I try not to pull up to a yard after 8:00.
