What makes sense to me is using batteries on a welder that can also be used for hundreds of other tools beyond the welder. so very multi use concept, and time to recharge, just pop out and back in charged batteries and continue welding. All I see is benefits there! All machines (any brand, any industry) have some duds from time to time.. I can't speak for those because I have 3 different machines from ESAB and they all have been workhorses and have driven my business to the next level. But there is a machine for everyone because everyone has different needs in the industry so if the Accu pocket works for you then that's awesome and hope it makes you a lot of money. @@jonnysweld Tool batteries only last so many charge recycles, its a ball ache havin to buy multiple chargers to speed up charging, then you have increased probability of battery connection fault problems, list goes on. You are lucky, many are not so lucky with esab, when multiple distributers are droppin esab, you know there is a major problem. But great esab working for you, I was tempted, it was between Fronius and esab, I read a lot of comments and watched a lot of videos before makin the choice, esab prices are tempting.

@@engjds It seems like the variable that is the most important is how much welding you'll be doing, where will you be welding and how often. All those combined will help decide what machine is the best for you. I definitly understand the concern with more parts could be more room for error. I guess what helps me in this situation is I am already a user of DeWALT tools so, the ESAB Volt seems to fit really well with what im doing, also I dont do a lot of mobile welding. But at the end of the day, your doing the right thing before jumping in on a battery powered welder, research will save you from getting something your not happy with. So, keep up the good work. Since I physically have a battery powered welder, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I'd be happy to share anything I can.

@@jonnysweld Totally agree, I am on the milwaukee system, and I like the battery system, and since I have a few chargers, like you I might get a welder that used those batteries. Also, Fronius seem to be highly reviewed, but they are also very expensive.
