The problem with this movie is that it tries to normalize cucking just because he has a theoretical condition. Which btw men wouldn’t have the same pass with these same educated/professional women. Juan may have been cocky but I don't think he deserved early (permanent) retirement. All he did was show up and everybody (Bobby and Gil) wanted to kill him on the spot. Bobby getting aggressive with Primo and fighting him in the bathroom over a number was so pathetic and honestly petty. Primo didn't get violent until Bobby started insulting him. And Bobby's throwaway line about Primo being lucky that he's allowed to be in this country makes me think he hated Primo for a completely different reason. Him using Primo as a punching bag, refusing to accept responsibility for causing his own downfall just adds a whole new layer to Bobby's character. Gil killing Primo was even more ridiculous considering he essentially killed a man over nothing since Bobby technically didn't get his number back, you really do feel for Primo considering he was a young immigrant trying to make it big in America and his life/career was cut short over something so trivial. The brutality of how Gil disposes of Primo truly showcases his descent into madness. Primo's death would later serve as a motivation to give Bobby a well-deserved wakeup call and inspire him to loosen up. Even though Primo was barely in the movie, he served as a good obstacle for Bobby and a test for Gil to see how far he'd really go for his idol. People don't realize it, but Primo was just as important as Bobby and Gil, he was the one that got the plot going and (unknowingly) caused both worlds (Bobby and Gil) to collide.
