Just finished reading Sharp Objects earlier this month. It really drags. I literally predicted the ending in the first few chapters...I had to finish it though because it was my holiday read and then was too far gone to stop haha...unhauled

Oh noooo, I'd have imagined Five Broken Blades was an epic political battle fantasy with that cover!! Romantasy has got to stop the subterfuge with these covers 😭😩 I commend you your efforts to get through it!!!

I read The Last Murder at the end of the World and it was meh...3 stars. But I also loved The Eyes are the Best Part. I listened to it on audio and as soon as I finished it I ordered the physical copy.👁👁

This vlog was a flop rating wise😅 The synopsis for some of them sounded so interesting! This is my first video I've watched from you (I came from Kayla's channel). I couldn't help but see House Of Leaves, Any Man, and All the Sinners Bleed. Have you read any of them? I personally gave those 5 stars!

Great selection of books! There are a few that I have been meaning to pick up so you've moved them further up my list! One book that made it into my best books for 2024 was Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson. Kind of fits the TJ Klune vibe. :)

love the ending of my year of rest and relaxation, but also probably because i thought it was clearly telegraphed from the start and even from the title. a book taking place in NYC the year 2000 that you know takes place over the course of a year quite frankly has to end with 9/11 otherwise it could take place literally any other year

Wow, that's an impressive pile. Yes, I also find short story collections difficult to rate. I never read a collection that had all 5-star stories in it. Personally, I prefer the 10-star rating over a 5-star rating. But giving half stars in a 5-star rating system is the same as a 10-star rating. Killing stalking sounds like a fun story. I'm not really a manga reader. I prefer the European Comics and Graphic Novels more when I look at the drawing style.

I’m glad you were very successful with your trip. I also started in Mebane. I think the major key to why you didn’t have any issues was getting there really early. You said you got to the first location two hours in advance. So, around 6am? I got there at 6:45. They started early, which talking to workers the night before said they wouldn’t do. You were probably finished with Winston before we left Mebane. I’m not sure if the western locations also started early or not. But getting to either starting point before 6am seemed to be key. We live in Chattanooga. We had all our credit, we still wanted to stop to get a real stamp from them & that was around 11:30 that night.

I just started King and my first book was shining, such a genius King! I picked up Revival and I love it more!

I read only one Stephen King and that was the comic he did with Bernie Wrightson; Creepshow I think it was titled. I also watched the film and absolutely loved it.
