This video really felt like those moments where you just sit in a bar and talk to a close friend while sharing some beer... trully a joy. You see Rome, i wished i could just say ``Don´t give up! You´ll blow up in no time! ``because frankly... you seem like a humble, wise and cheerfull guy, so it only makes sense for someone like you to rise in popularity and reach peoples hearts... but the truth is that things aren´t as simple as that and you probably know that. RUclips algorithm helps some while others don´t and its sad to think how much potencial is wasted by the simple fact that not everyone is given oportunity to show theirs. So, that being said, it´s only those who persist on a dream that will get a ticket in this gambling game of life every time they try again, you may or may not one day reach this dream of yours but im sure that giving up is a garented failure. In life there´s way more people who suffers from giving up too early on their dreams than people who persisted and ended up never reaching it (The pain of looking back and realising you´ll never know how things could have turn is like a poison). And to be fair, i do think there is a charm in always waking up and doing our best at something we enjoy, you see, without a doubt the reason you grandma supported you is the sole fact that you were trying to do what you felt was the right thing for you, and so you must keep doing it as long as it fufils you , wether it´s RUclips, Twitch, TikTok... you only have one live, so... get yourself a plan B, some safe place where you can go back to and regain strenght, than... go back to doing what you feel it´s right for you and ENJOY the ride. After all, most long living memories we have in life are all about the journey not reaching the goal lines because those area ALWAYS changing. Yea I had a comment recently saying my past 20 TBoI runs are so similar (which yeah...they are) but I just don't have the time most days to go for runs that can take a longer amount of time and even if I did, it's still going to be something someone else is bound to have done before or at least some form of slightly evolved yet regurgitated content. Going to the variety thing, it freaking sucks spending HOURS on a single video that only gets a small fraction of the views that your "main" content gets. I've spent over ~5 hours on a single video before for it to get like 50 views and I'm just like damn...I honestly thought this was a really good video too. Really breaks down the motivation to take on other projects Edit: Also considering you and I post daily content it becomes 10x harder to get a run or video that's unique or good enough to even post. Like I'm beginning to crash man

i think the "i want to post more stuff but it wont do well" point is exactly why i haven't done a highlights of any of the collabs recently its the fact that so little people will watch it makes me lose motivation half-way through i might finish the jackbox stream if i still have the vod lying around but the fact that i know it'll get less than 250 views is just so soul crushing

Hi Rome, I’ve been watching your Isaac stuff for a while and just found this channel. I’m an Aerospace Engineer just starting my career, and I had probably the opposite school experience as you. 4 years and nearly 170 semester hours for a bachelors and then an MBA in project management on top of it. However, my advice is that you don’t have to do any of that, and if you do, then you’ll probably hate a lot of it. I had the pleasure of mostly knowing what I wanted to do, so my path was pretty set in my mind, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with either finding a job or going to trade school. In America, community colleges are usually either free or extremely cheap compared to universities and are great ways to explore what you want to do before making the commitment of 4 years and/or several thousand dollars to go to university. My final advice for people starting the post-high school life is this: Life isn’t rocket science, even when it is. You are going to be overwhelmed very often in life, and nothing is going to be fair. Try to simplify big problems into lots of smaller ones that are solvable. Doing something is almost always better than doing nothing. Very little in life is insurmountable.

im really sorry you had to go through that, the weird thing is, is that it happens to everyone.. everyone will go through it and everyone will process it very differently. im really happy you are processing it in a healthy manner. my mom died like 4 years ago and i used to shove it in and didnt wanna think about it. i used alot of drugs to suppress my emotions and just a couple of months ago im starting to get help with that shit. idk why im typing this, ig i wanted to relate and tell you its gonna be okay and that im super happy your processing it healthy yk. we may be strangers but i care about you dude. focusing on the good memories will help, i hope your ok
