I’ve done the research, the fuel economy is almost identical to the V6. The maintenance is easier on the 4 cyl., they both have the reputation for being bulletproof, but for applications like yours, this truck is perfect. You will have hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles, with just basic oil changes every 3-5,000 miles, (DONT DO THE 10,000), what a great little truck!!!

You should install a catalytic shield. It cost me $400 but it's worth the peace of mind.
