They are so good .Their speed lifts twizzels. My favorite pair dancers.

The intricate footwork was amazing. How they didn't get tangled up is incredible. And no team - none - can compare with their speed. They make every performance exciting. KUDOS!!

when I watched this when it happened, I thought meryl and charlie couldn't get better than they already are, but they have! (watch their 2012 season)-!

If you haven't watched this in a long time, you may also have forgotten (as had I) that the announcers predicted D/W and V/M (in whatever order) being numbers 1 and 2 at the Olympics. This is a brilliant rivalry which we can all enjoy at the top of the most beautiful of all sports. The range D/W have shown over the years is astounding.

comparing this dance to tessa and scott's from the same worlds, you can sooo tell that they have the same coach and choreographer, so many similarities in the transitions and lifts, yet so different! love them, all of them, go team igor and marina!

@platinaprincess LOL! Yes... amazing true prediction! But it was true, both teams debuts were so striking and impressive. NOone has ever debuted like V&M and D&W not even Torvill and Dean.

I love them they are my ice skating idols!! I love this dance but their indian dance is even better thats what first made love them so much. I wish they would have gotten gold at vancouver! Are they at the nations? If so, why the speaker speaking a different language?

Protocols allow vocals in ice dancing only. It's a 'dance' hence more on interpretation of the music with or without vocals. Deduction is on extended lift. Only 6 seconds per lift and one combination (straight/rotational lifts) of 12 seconds are allowed. Props are also allowed in ice dance related to the theme as long as they are attached to the body or costume. They considered a 'half mask' for Charlie as the Phantom but they didn't push through as it was "too dramatic".

i love that they used a spin to start off, and i loved that spin itself! unusual to hear a vocal song, is that allowed? the lift at 3:33 is totally AWESOME!! what did they get deducted for?

Great program. Funny thing was they weren't exactly kids! She was 17, he 16 when they did this. They were so young looking though, weren't they? I love them and especially now that they have matured and to me are the best ice dance team around.

I love this dance. I'd like to see them do something similar this year but with the kind of musicality they had with S&D.

I think the last part of the music was from "The Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"-like song. I saw a Punsalan & Swallow influence on this dance, which was interesting, cause a few parts of the choreography was a little bit similar to P/S-1998 OD (the Jive).
