Two marketing tips to increase organic traffic for your bed bug company
Hey all In this video I Go over two changes I've made to my business that help my organic reach.
To summarize I move my office location on my Google business profile closer to the area that I serve. I also made this adjustment on the local service ads that way I'll show up more relevantly to customers in my area that I service frequently.
I found that Google likes to show businesses that are more immediate to the area and my prior listing was about 60 miles from my general service area. After the video if you have any questions or comments please leave them below.
Happy to respond! Thanks all and have a great day!

    We use Aprehend for "preventative measures," the treatment is sprayed on the baseboards of our apartments every three months. Curious if you think this is the best approach? The tenants need to be out of their apartment for 4 hours after. Wondering if volcanoes would be better just for monitoring?

    • @xxbeccabrutalityxx7873
      @xxbeccabrutalityxx7873 6 дней назад

      Wow your tenants are so lucky that you actually treat for pests. The landlord for my apartment complex does zero pest control/prevention. And now, here I am, with bed bugs. In a building with 11 other apartments. So I doubt any treatment course I take is going to permanently rid my home of them. Oh and another plus, I'm 35 weeks pregnant so this is just perfect timing (': I am considering moving into a small house so at least, even though the bugs will come with me, I'll be able to properly treat my home for them. Without another tenant giving them back to me every time I try.

      We've had pretty great success with aprehend. I made a video going over the do's and don'ts of an aprehend treatment sometimes our customers have gotten mixed up with applying chemicals or sprays on their furniture which can disrupt the aprehend as it is very sensitive. Otherwise there are certain furnishings that can be difficult to treat such as captain beds that have drawers built in just because there's so many spots for the bugs to hide, and also with large couches that have built-in features there are a lot of nooks and crannies the bugs can hide into. Some of these customers we recommend a heat treatment just to be able to get the furniture treated without having to throw away

    Bullshit you should have a guarantee! That is an asinine thing to do as someone who’s been killing bed bugs for 16 years. You can offer a 30 day warranty but thats it. No way in hell am i offering anything more than that with the people ive seen and dealt with. Id be doing free work all the time. Most professional pest companies learned this the hard way 15 years ago when they had to do free work because of reintroduction.

    • @Jeremys_Bed_Bug_HQ
      @Jeremys_Bed_Bug_HQ 8 месяцев назад

      To an extent I can agree, it's next to impossible to guarantee anything in pest control. Specifically bed bugs which are introduced pest. However as long as a customer prepares in accordance to the preparation instructions I have no problem with a guarantee. Where i run into issues is underprepared or completely non-prepared units. These stipulations I'll mention on the first treatment that I can't guarantee if conditions remain the same. If they do prepare better the second time to where I can guarantee it I'll do so. Transparency is key in our industry and I never want to make anyone feel bait and switched so I always outline all the warranty/guarantee information within the contract.

    Hey Jeremy, my name is Chris I own State standard pest control, Lexington Kentucky. We specialize in bedbugs and termites. I had worked with Dr. Michael Potter from the University Kentucky’s entomology department to build a system that we use for the better part of a decade so when apprehend came out I included it in with the 2 step Treatment Plan that we offer. we use a steam sterilization process along with other products, and the apprehend has made it so we have not had to do one retreat in over a year. Like you mentioned, it does have a bit of drawbacks in the amount of time but if you inform your customers like we do that, your infestation did not happen overnight, and it will not go away overnight. It can take several weeks to achieve elimination most people are OK with that especially knowing that we offer a six month warranty. We’ve done 1000’s of bedbug treatments with apprehend we probably done about 800 over the last year You can check our References online. This video was well done. I will share it with some of our people if you ever want to compare notes on bedbug Treatment just reply back to this or look up my contact

    Jeremy great video. From experiencing bedbugs in my rental property I found it so strange how different exterminators have different approaches. Some exterminator required a live or dead bedbug to even treat due to the regulations, while many didn't care if we saw one or not. Some exterminators required extensive cleaning and clearing of closets. Some exterminators didn't. I'm getting my proprety treated this coming Wednesday and I'm hoping for results. Overall, I think it is God's work you do getting rid of these creatures.

      You don't spray the chemical on surfaces where your body touch. You spray behind and under cushions, the back side of the chair or couch, the legs, it doesn't stain but it is advised you apply a small portion to an area normally not seen to test. You can not use a regular sprayer. Companies get a special sprayer and training on how to apply. Another reason only people with a license should apply it.

      This does leave a white residue on some materials that washes off. It only can be applied in a airbrush device specifically calibrated for Aprehend. Don't waist it spraying out of a tank!

    I've watched all your videos. Truely appreciate all the good info you're providing. How would you treat an adjustable bed frame? Broadcast spray all-over? What are your thoughts on Crossfire vs Aprehend? Saw your video showing an infested couch. How would you treat a leather sectional recliner?

    • @Jeremys_Bed_Bug_HQ
      @Jeremys_Bed_Bug_HQ 8 месяцев назад

      Adjustable beds are a little more difficult to treat. What I typically do is flip them over on their side and lean them up against something. Then I'll treat pretty much every crack and crevice on the underside with aprehend. Couches are very difficult because you're not allowed to apply material that can come in contact with direct skin. And on leather it can discolor from what I've seen. Crossfire aerosol is good for couches or if it's extremely heavy infestation I'll recommend the customer do a heat treatment for a faster knockdown.

      @camisf78 Most likeley simple preventative measures. If i ran a bed bug service, I'd probably have uniforms. a locker room with a shower at the shop so technicians could get back put there uniform in the bag to be cleaned and then shower and change into there own uncontaminated clothing. Also heat treatments expensive diatomaceous earth is alot cheaper and still effective.

    Jeremy presented a good discussion of Aprehend. However, we had a heat treatment that was not successful. I am still getting bitten after spending 3014 dollars. It did not work. I have had the company out and they "insist" I find live (or dead bugs) in order to do anything more. They insist there are none, but I am still getting bitten every night. Aprehend is the only thing I have left. I am praying it works. Jeremy is correct about the fact that YOU HAVE TO BE THEIR BAIT. This means you must allow yourself to get bitten every night. However, when you DO, you know they are picking up the spores which feels really GOOD! I am into my 4th Aprehend day today. IF YOU CANNOT TOLERATE BEING BITTEN AS THE BAIT FOR APREHEND, IT IS NOT FOR YOU. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

      100% Mike! another thing to consider if you haven't seen any live bugs you could also be potentially dealing with mites or another biting insect. I have done quite a few treatments where there were multiple insect issues going on. for mites they're usually introduced from rodents or wildlife in the area and are pretty common but not well spoken about like bed bugs. Just my two cents, either way I hope the bites will stop for you soon!

      @@hplifestylelessonsandfun9131 Thanks sincerely for your question. Out of fairness, I owe you both an apology and an answer: When I first "encountered" bed bugs, I could see what appear to be bite marks on my legs, arms and hands. We had little bugs around the bed, but never on the mattress. After months of treating them, I went to a dermatologist who pointed out that I had eczema and (possibly) also Schamberg's disease, which looks very much like bed bug bites. I sent samples of the "bed bugs" to our state entomologist, who examined them (for free) and told me they were darkling beetles (which never bite humans). I never actually ever encountered a REAL bed bug, even though I paid 3000 dollars for the treatment. I am a retired doctor. I have nobody to blame but myself. But they looked VERY much like bedbug bites, even though they never itched. If there is a lesson here: Go to a dermatologist and make sure you don't have eczema. Consequently, I owe you and apology. I never actually had bed bugs. All told, I spend about 4,000 dollars on phantom bed bugs. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

      You have to have a "heart to heart" talk with your customers. You need to tell them up front that they will have to be the "bait" for about 2-4 weeks. Unless they are able to handle this, Aprehend is not for them. However, heat treatments don't always work. Mine didn't, even though it cost me over 3000 dollars. Thank God I can afford this. Millions of people cannot. You can still vacuum up thousands of BB's and therefore reduce the infestation before you lay down the Aprehend. That will reduce a lot of the trauma. If you have seriously infested mattresses, you need to consider throwing them out, or encasing them immediately. I don't mean to tell you your business. But I have a LOT of experience, Respectfully, Sanjosemike (no longer in CA)

      This is exactly the best way to present it to a customer. My pitch is if you want them gone right away (or at least fastest results) he treatment with a chemical application is the best. But if you do have patience and knowing that bites will occur and that you will potentially see bed bugs ( depending on infestation size) aprehend is a more affordable and less impact to the home approach.

      You can use crossfire and apprehend together. Let's say like crossfire on the bed frame but apprehend on the box spring. The talk is needed but since usually a customer is out of the dwelling during service. I treat everywhere the customer may think is a safe location to sleep. Your doing a barrier spray around the bed and at the baseboards anyway so yes you can tell the customer to be bait but they might not like that idea. Hit everything and remember your not treating surfaces commonly being contacted by the body.

    Hey Jeremy I’ve watched all the videos on RUclips about commercial heat treating for bed bugs and I haven’t seen anyone use my idea that would be a small tweak to the usual heat duct and fan placement. It would let you uniformly heat the whole place up faster and would cut no telling how much time off every job. Could I shoot you an email about my idea?
