Bering Marine LLC (Previously Hysucat USA) is a U.S. based company operating from 2015 as part of Bering Group with the main shipyard in Antalya, Turkey and service shipyard in North Carolina, USA.
In November 2015 the Bering Group acquired the HYSUCAT technology, maintaining its original name. The company then updated and redeveloped the initial vessels. By 2023, the company rebranded itself as Bering Marine, reaching a new milestone by introducing an aluminum range and new layout variations of the original models. Bering Marine manufactured about 60 various boats in aluminum and GRP in 23-36' range.
Our production facility is equipped with cutting-edge tools ensuring the production of vessels of exceptional quality.
Collaborating with a team of highly skilled designers and engineers, led by renowned industry experts Bering Marine is dedicated to creating customized vessels that meet the specific needs and requirements of each individual client.

Hulls are quite conventional and relatively high drag. Good to see use of the hydrofoil, but this is really a fairly bulky heavy boat that still burns a lot of fuel.

30% is a great step in the right direction! But it would be 75% instead of 30% savings with a full foiling boat like Candela C-8 or Tyde THE ICON.

Amazing technology! Just stay away from Malan Conradie. He claims to be the director of Hysucat but I learned the hard way that he is a scam artist. I had a 42ft Hysucat built by him in 2017 and long story short, it was never finished and turned into a financial disaster. I at least have the boat now here in Ft Lauderdale. Now 7 years later, trying to finish it but not getting much support from anybody. When it is done, it will be pretty amazing as I'm running the OXE 300s and Sharrow Props.
Dear Eric, good day! Thank you for your comment. The Sharrow props were tested on one of our 28 RHIB models. Sharrow's testing team found that our boat was already running at 94% efficiency and their props did not improve our boat. The props were tested against a standard set of Suzuki props and recorded the same speeds at the same RPMS. We hope you have many unforgettable adventures once your boat is ready. Old idea, been used by Hysucat for decades. To be really effective, flight control surfaces - flaps should be used. Using a hydrofoil does not improve stability.

Nothing new there. My Cairns Customcraft had this same set-up...twenty-odd years ago. See HYSUCAT... That said I'll say that this add is accurate as per handling and fuel burn.

But still the side by side comparison reveals a lot. I can't see any reason based on the data in this video that indicates it would be bad in rough sea.
I helmed a 7m Hysucat in choppy seas and ran between 50 and 60 knots.

Imagine with your company’s foil and hull design coupled with the invention of the Sharrow Propeller your efficiency could reach 50% ! Go ahead and make it happen. Love the design, Bering makes an awesome boat. Should take a big part of the smaller catamaran business. 24 yrs ago I was called crazy for owning a 22’ glacier bay that I would take to Eleuthera for Lauderdale many times. Nothing rides like a fast cat. Good luck

I though the Hysucat foil was the end of this debate, are you discussing another format? Alexei, think about this : a 30 feet Hysucat with an electric driven HamiltonJet HJ215 in each hull - 8x 123 kwTesla batteries under the deck, its doable!

Fascinating conversation. So much potential with foils. As for electric power, the only vehicle where battery electric makes any sense is when the primary source is solar panels, otherwise the environmental offset is negligible when compared to the carbon footprint of battery production, and grid level power is still predominantly carbon based for production sources.
