Track day, what do I need to take??
Просмотров 94Год назад
Some of the items needed for a track day rider. I know you can just turn up on the day on a bike but it’s easier if you can take some essentials with you if you have the room. Also don’t forget to take food and drink and a comfy chair!! Thanks for watching!

I had a puncture on my GSXR and decided to plug it to get me home. Dispute doing 200 miles with no issues I still kept thinking what if the plug comes out or leaks? I decided to remove the tyre and take a look before putting a more permanent fix. What would you of done? Thanks for looking
Gsxr brake line fitting. Worth it? Better brakes for not a lot of cash?

Today I fitted some front braided steel brake line to try and improve the lever feel and help me stop better plus do they look better or is oem rubber ones just as good?
Gsxr 750 brake judder fix (part 2)

After the initial investigation I think I found what was causing the brake judder I was experiencing at Donington Park. I would like to thank other RUclipsrs such as Dave Moss and Lambchoprides for showing me a few things to look at. Check out their channels for lots of other great knowledgeable info.

Just bought a 2008 GSXR 1000 today and going to be doing the same thing chap. Out of interest, what Brembos are they? I imagine they'd be a big improvement over the stock Tokicos?

These are the stock brembos on the ‘L’ modes from 2010/2011 I think models. They do have upgraded pads of an unknown brand but definitely bite better with a little heat. They stop pretty well to be fair

Steel brake lines are always better and impove the pressure point of the brake. I also have a Magura HC 1 master cylinder on my GSXR 750 L1 and together with Brembo sinter brake pads the brake is much better than OEM with much more brake power.

I haven’t adjusted the shift lights since purchased the bike so unsure if it had any ☺️. The tyres were pretty good to be fair-had a few little slips and slides on the day but didn’t fall off. On the one session where there was a dry line they seemed to worked well. Really looking forward to doing a track day when the temperature is a bit warmer. Thanks for the comments 👍

Dave Moss taught me all of this lol. Always spin the front wheel (bike raised on a stand), then hold the brake lever and keep holding it while you torque the caliper bolts. Similarly for aligning the fork legs on the front axle, you bounce the front end up and down a few times on the ground before torquing your fork pinch bolts.
