Cooking during the winter months, and the weird news about the alien.
If last week was a little chaotic, we’re a little unhinged in
this one. Sorry about that - I don think I slept well before or something.
With the nights getting longer, this is THE time to experiment with cooking different food. We chat what we cook, where we get cooking inspiration from, as well as living with food intolerances.
In Weird news with question what the plural of Cactus is.

Talking Seasonal Affective Disorder, Flatmates, and Star Trek Frogs
Просмотров 714 дней назад
This week is a little chaotic, maybe we had too many coffees or something. Sorry for the slice of unpredictable behaviour in this one. We chat a few things in this one: Should house mates talk about their plans when they’re going away? We also talk Seasonal Affective Disorder, other wise known as SAD. Which according to The NHS Website is :” SAD is sometimes known as "winter depression" because...
A Conversation About Domestic Abuse
Просмотров 1928 дней назад
This week, Lydia shares about her training in supporting survivors of domestic violence and abuse. While Lydia approaches this in an interesting and insightful way, the topic is obviously a serious one. If this subject upsets you in anyway, please look after yourself. We mention a number of ways to obtain support. The National Domestic Abuse Helpline is 0808 2000 247 The Mens advice line is 080...
(Not) 5 Tips for looking after yourself, and showing self care.

We took a vote for this weeks episode, the result? “5 Tips for looking after yourself” It seems that we’re not very good at keeping to short lists. Also we’ve recorded on a different day this week! On Monday! On Monday morning. That wasn’t wise of us. We sound like it’s a Monday. Sorry about that. Its also far too long. Also. Sorry about that. metro.co.uk/2024/09/05/mystery-worlds-oldest-whale-...

It's a safe and supportive space where you can share what's on your mind and hear from others who might be going through something similar. These groups teach helpful ways to manage emotions, like using mindfulness, relaxation t...

Three episodes in, and the podcast featuring two former support workers get to talk about budgeting. What's The Tea? - Deadpool and Wolverine - Walking through Grief
Просмотров 14Месяц назад
Due to holidays, its been a while since we’ve done this, so please forgive our ramblings to start with. Its like we didn’t catch before we pressed record (We did, but you wouldn’t think it) As implied by the title, we do talk about grief, what it is, what to expect, and a few ideas on how to deal. We do get serious every now and then in this one, with that in mind I almost called this episode “...
What's The Tea? - A second loneliness chat
Просмотров 5Месяц назад
Well, we’ve managed to get to our second episode, and we might have the start of a format emerging. (For this one at least, the next episode is already looking different) We talk riots in England, chat a bit more about loneliness, also look out for power cuts, and why Andy doesn’t know much about ovens. We talk loneliness and parenthood. For the dads there is Dadsnet at www.thedadsnet.com/ and ...
What's The Tea? - A Chat About Loneliness
Просмотров 13Месяц назад
Well this is our first one. The first cup of tea (or coffee if you will). And sometimes, the first one is a little different from all the others afterwards. We basically chat who we are, we talk about loneliness, bottle tops, and socks.

Chroma key is loving Lydia's top lol
Fantastic Vid.
You guys are doing such a wonderful job helping young people. May God bless you with all that you need and more, so that you can continue helping as you've done so far. 🤗
You are willfully blind ... Listen to Gary Stevenson. Tax wealth, Stop picking on ordinary people.
Should think twice about ever voting for this God forsaken party everagain. The Tories are corrupt and have taken our money and we have sat back and let it happen. They should be in jail.
DCC doesn't give a toss. They've got nice houses with a family and a warm bed and a warm meal to go to each night! How about cutting the wages of all of the overpaid burks in the council, or cutting the wages of all those people that apparently 'work' for Social Services. I say 'work' as the social workers I've known are off sick more than they're at work!
Stop moaning they murdered 100 trees in Plymouth.
Young man there's no need to feel down. There's a place that you can have a good time. It's fun to stay at the ?
Its all theatre or its called being "played" 😢
I thought I would add on to my first comment I had my own room in the ymca I got a cooked breakfast in the morning and an evening meal about 5pm being born with a disability which was a chronic from birth having those two meals really done me a lot of good before I moved in the YMCA I haven't been eating properly for a long time the last time I had a proper dinner was when I had my free school dinner at the special needs school the YMCA doesn't just give people accommodation they do actually pick people up in the community and make their lives better
I lived in a YMCA on the south coast a few years back I came from a special needs school and had been homeless as a child at the age of 14 living in a car garage in the capital it was a doctor that referred me to the YMCA when I move into one of the other YMCA development just outside of the city where I was I never wanted to leave there I would have been happy to spend the rest of my life living there I never knew how much it cost and nobody ever told me now I live on my own and I hardly go out and see anybody I did some voluntary work for an hour a day cleaning the bathrooms and toilets it was part of giving something back for what they was doing for me I think that the government should fund the YMCA they've been around a long time and they are well known
It is a shame that the council are looking to cut this money from the ymca some years ago I lived in one on the south coast for a period of time and they helped me a lot it needs central government to intervene and do something or some of those people will end up sleeping on the streets locally that will just push the police budget up and the crime rates up once they become homeless if I can say typical middle classes Council officials on the council's that want to take from the poorest of people
Thanks so much for your comment! It would be so helpful if you could let the council know your thoughts via the public consultation form below: forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=gzehjWjLP0S7S5l_d_1b-_PqNH0nXx1BuXWcFsINQ4FUQ0cxR0pTTks3MlI5N0dCWkpHSkVZS05PWi4u
Would be good to have a more in depth view of your duties. I like the idea of helping young people and have used the YMCA when I was young and in need of support. I don't have any relevant qualifications so I wondered how I can best get into a similar role
Fantastic project for young people in Exeter. Thank you for the inspiring video!
Well, it's not at all "shaved" but it's a longish buzz cut. I think it looks better than the longer hair, but a #2 guard would look even better.
Well done
That's a lot of people wanting to see me suffer....
Sounds great Tim
So great!!
Thanks Clare - a really honest, positive message. Praying for you and your husband and the families of those dealing with the loss of loved ones.
I look so gormless :S Will definitely be donating this year if I can't take part :)
hahahahaha Josh's heartwrenching story
Haha I know right
