BUT, COFFEE FIRST (raw film project) *watch until 0:50 at least*
This is a short film I made while learning about the story telling process. There is minimal editing, no color grading, and no audio correction.

WRECKED A BRAND NEW MERCEDES (and NEW Shades)
Do you work on others buses, how much would it cost to get this done?
I don't offer this, though there are several places that do. I would be willing to help out someone local
Why does it sound like a flathead V8 with a monster cam?😂😅
I almost put a flathead in one of my Falcons to make everyone mad
Is that the Slant 6?
Very close. Straight 6
200 I6 and still needs leaded fuel like my 67 did!
To prove to the opossum it can be done 😂
likely
The ending 😂
The truth
My family has one with a dump bed on it used it on the farm for years
This might get a flatbed. Still unsure
Can confirm he has gummy thumbs
But what flavor
Dude tripped and fell face first into a tacklebox
It was an expensive tackle box for sure
Awesome,,,,looking good and sounds great,,,one of my fav straight six is in the 1953 Nash,it only has 2 carbs,,i have never seen 3,,,
It's a common adapter for these integral log intakes on the early Falcons and Mustang sixes. Should've either come from the factory this way or with a removable intake.
Or steel rose metal co
I don't think I have
Do you know mike abbott?
I'm not sure if I do
Do you know what stell rose metal co is
Steel
That sounds familiar. Local company?
Yeah
Where is your shop located at?
Outside Cincinnati
If you were asked to pick just one of your collection vehicles. Which one would you pick and why?
That’s tough but I’d have to say most wagons and Model A coupes
@@Rollingrelics So which one and only one would you pick the best?
How many different vehicles do you have in your collection?
A lot Less than I used to, only a few
Would you consider a vehicle that is made out of recycled material a collector material?
I know of a guy that built a boat-tail speedster out of hoods, which was neat
So what decade do you love the most?
Vehicle-wise or just in general? That's tough because I like and have owned cars from the '20s up to the '80s that I really liked.
I bet that you are having some issues with finding parts for these old cars.
It's only really bad when you're trying to stay original
I love the tall tea
I really like chop tops but sometimes an uncut roof just looks good
Mmmmolten lavaaaa...THATS THE THING KEEP PLAYIN THE RIFF BECAUSE WE GOTTA GET IT ON TONIGHT-YA!
I weld a lot and I get big black boogers from doing it and I have to pick my nose you know where I'm going with this
It IS a mess
A lil lubrication usually allows for more than two fingers…
😂
What is the tool called
They are stabilizer stands for lifts. HF calls them Underhoist Safety Stands
@@Rollingrelicshow much travel to those stands have?
@@theman0070 If I remember correctly it was around 10”, and they had a new pin hole every 6” ?
I just raised the roof of my 40" bus solo using the same method you demonstrate. However, my motto is "Anything worth doing is worth overdoing", so I used 4 jacks as you suggested...worked perfectly. I appreciate the pause where you're "processing" your thoughts and ideas. I do the same thing and call it a productive day if I can spend most of the day processing instead of producing as long as I eliminate my rework. I've never done anything like this so I'm learning as I go. I appreciate you putting together this video with lessons learned. Keep up the great work!
Thank You and congratulations on your raise! I cut out probably 10 minutes of me ‘processing’ as I was editing. I’m glad you enjoyed and I hope to keep making more!
looks almost like you're planning on going into mass production. I like that jig, very handy and will definitely speed up things
I sometimes find it easier to consider a manufacturing process to help even single projects move along smoother.
Nice work ❤️ 👍🏼
Thank you! Cheers!
YOUR GIRLFRIEND IS SO PRETTY!!!!! PROPOSE TO HER ALREADY!!!!!!
Agreed!
Do you have to add any sealer in between panel joints before riveting them together?
I did on my first bus (butyl tape) but not on this second bus. I'm going to seam seal the top of all the joints before paint.
Where did you find the hoist jacks that tall? Can’t seem to find them tall enough for a 20” roof raise.
Harbor Freight. Of course it depends on the factory height of your current bus. If I raised mine any taller I would’ve had to make extensions for the jacks.
@@Rollingrelics how did you raise the jacks in between hoisting them up? I just bought the harbor freight hoist jacks and it seems like once you set the height with the pin you only get about 12 inches of lift.. so once you raise it those 12 inches how do you move the pin in the hoist jack with the weight of the roof on top of it? Hope that makes sense.
@@mutchler87 I mentioned it in one of the videos unless it accidentally got edited out. I put big spot welds on the sliders once I reached the max height, then reset the jacks and lifted again. I was planning on drilling holes in the sliders and using pins just like the jack, but then it came time and I decided to weld instead.
Great video! Ill definitwly be following along. I'm getting ready to start my roof raise soon but I've used my Chief rivet gun on some other stuff and it seems to give me headaches where it won't snap off the rivet and it ends up jammed inside. What issues were you having with your rivet guns?
The most expensive riveter at HF either would have jam/ slip issues, or would burst at the casting line on the handle and literally spew hydraulic oil out. That happened to 4 of them. I finally got the second grade down and it jammed a pin so they wont eject out the back, but has not been a problem since. They just eject out the front.
touching the tip like that with no gloves welding? i just know your finger burning after a couple seconds😂
Yeah You know it. I had them on, took them off, put them back on. Of course I only recorded the few I did without gloves (probably until I burned myself and put them back on)
You're an animal!!! Watching you just get to it is such a joy. I'm 6 months into design and still don't have a bus to build. Thank you for the hope, motivation and inspiration! Might have to buy stock in Harbor Freight. 🤣
This is my second bus so I'm fortunate enough to have that experience behind me to get rocking on this build.

looks good, be sure to coat those panels if they are steel.
Galvanealed. But they’ll still get painted

Every ounce of credibility you had as a fabricator or tradesman is completely washed away by those piercings. Congratulations-you look like every green haired lesbian at my college.
Thank You!🎉
And you sound like every jaded washed up fudd I've ever met

Thank you! 😊
Primer? I’m No welder but I think primer is only used for drywall and PVC
Primer helps protect the bare metal from oxidizing
