I’m new to your channel did you guys do a video with all the cost of hotels that you stayed out in Vietnam? I’m really trying to use Chase Sapphire points and I’m not sure how to spend 8 days in Vietnam and where to stay really love the 1 night cruis3 just staying on the boat would be sweet so different from the typical royal Caribbean cruise.

Agreed. I was just there - it was originally not part of my plan because I've always known it to be overrated, but then all the other cities in the north were rainy at the time so we changed plans.

Its almost ALWAYS the locals that trash the place. Having visited over 100 countries in the kast 25 years, this is always the case. Yet idiots who know nothing, blame tourists. These people need to travel and understand the the world more.

Had been there in Oct 2024, it was so clean and beautiful. Didn't see a spec of plastic in the 3-4 hours of cruising. This video is no longer relevant I think and must be taken down.

When I visited Halong Bay many years ago there was some rubbish but mostly around the port area and a lot of it was from the traders there. I saw one woman from a shop throw a used nappy out into the water so it isn’t always tourists, it can be from the traders working there as well. It wasn’t as dirty as your video but it was almost 18 yrs ago too. My sister visited again a year ago and she said it had been cleaned up a lot. Its a beautiful area for sure.

If you want the less touristy but just as good experience, go to Cat Ba Island and take a trip from there. Cheaper, less tourists, same type views and hopefully less trash. I did it and recommend it.

I was fortunate enough to go in 2015 when it was sparsely developed. It was amazing. Came back 2023 and 2024 and it’s nothing like what it was. Not saying in a good or bad way. I think it depends what you like. I preferred the 2015 visit more, but still had a good visit in 2023 and 2024 regardless but for different reasons.

The area is overrated due to overpopulation of travelling. So you're going to direct people to other areas? 😂😂😂.
