Great short doco of what looked like a trip which the Palawa deities smiled upon. They smiled on my trip there in January 1992 when all in our party stood atop fed peak after a snowy and stormy climb across the eastern Arthurs. It has the worst weather in the country, after the snow on the range we walked all the Arthur Plains in 30°+ heat, somewhat dried out the ubiquitous bogs though. Hope you get that 360° view AND remain safe next time you go.

Hi guys, great vid! A mate and I just completed the western Arthur's last week and already looking at fed peak 😀. I see you seem to have placed some gear on the way up and did an abseil down. I've watched a few vids of that exposed top bit and a rope seems a sensible option to me! is there plenty of placements? What did you use as an anchor for the ab?

We took a slim rack, but full rope and harness which was excessive. We rapped off a rock horn in the grass gully at the top. If going again I’d take a sling harness, 30m 6mm rope, a few nuts and slings and you’d be right. It’s just one top section that is tricky and definitely a no fall zone. People regularly do it unprotected, and it’s unlikely you’d fall, but if you do..... Although if your just walking strait in the Eastern Arthurs it’s not hard take take a rack a land do some other climbs while your there. P.S don’t exit via moss ridge!
