      @@leggsoutdoors I love backpacking, with a tent. It feels more hygienic than staying in a cabin that others breathed in. But I hate those creepy backpacker toilets. Quite honestly, I'd rather squat over a hole I'd dug myself. 🤣

      The day before we went we read the book and had a family movie night and watched the movie. You can also get the book and a gold ticket online. On the drive we listened to Christmas music and I made some home made silly mad libs we did on our way. We did wear Christmas jammies which was both fun and comfy. We got there early and walked and ate. At the Bryson location they had little shops (my parents got my kiddos a ornament as a souvenir to hang on the tree every year) and we were (at that time) allowed to see the train museum for free. They had a write a letter to Santa area and the trains were fun to look at for the kiddos. Have a wonderful time on the Polar Express!

    • @leggsoutdoors
      @leggsoutdoors Месяц назад

      The length of the trip and train experience will be exactly the same at either time. The 6:40 time slot will be darker and so the Christmas lights will stand out and be more magical. Also consider, if you have kiddos, what time will work best for them (when is their bed time). Our first time we went earlier because our kiddos were so little, but our next trip we went later.
