How old is your parrotlet? They should learn how to fly themselves most of the time. If they're too young, they shouldn't be flying yet.
@happyflock9098 they are a year old already
They also have been in a cage for some time by their previous owner so could that contribute to the cause?
@dehydratedcow5125 let them get used to you slowly and being outside of the cage. It helps them trust you and be friendly.

So, this bird probably grew up in North America, as she is mimicking wild bird noises like chickadees. She is probably trying to talk with them as she recognizes a somewhat similar kind to her. Very smart birdie.
I don’t agree. I’m from the UK and my girl makes this sound, the wild birds around here do not make that noise and I have no idea where it’s come from. Must mean something!! 😊
This is just their normal call. I’ve never seen a chickadee and both my birds make this noise
