The whole time I’m watching the first guy thinking “poor bastard doesn’t know what’s coming” all to be surprised by a guy off camera sucked into the engibe
That guy sucks, and Blows.
Training the Best Pilots in the World ,: : Thank You Gentlemen ,and Ladies ; Amen
I spent 21 years in the Navy of which I spent 17 years on the flt deck of 4 carriers back then we had a battle group consisting of f14s A6s S3s Ea6b and E2s and H3 helicopters some A7s and A3s but the most important aircraft was the C2s they brought the mail and supplies by the way I wore a purple shirt
His name is Jd Bridges, he survived
You know this is a old video seeing Legacy Hornets 😂
Does anyone have that redheaded Ensign's phone number? She's gorgeous.
PBS did a documentary on that boat. The Captain was a real badass. He made an announcement to the crew telling them that if anyone committed a certain infraction he'd hang them out to dry!
TIme: 15:38 "just land and go have an aneurism somewhere." just epic Squid humor.😎
Naval History Museum will be proud to have this video.
I tried to impress my World War 2 Dad with my seeing waves coming over the bow. He said, "Wait until you see green water over the flying bridge." He flew off of small escort carriers near Tinian and Saipan.
CONE lol
Good thing it wasn't a Dyson.
Isn't that how they made "Soylent Green" ? (I'll just see myself out).
That must’ve really sucked.
...I misunderstood the title.
I saw an update. He survived
That's an oldy. When I was in the navy in the 90s, that was one of the videos they'd show you. Another was pictures of ring fingers stripped down to the bone, literally.
Does this hurt the aircraft?
Karma
All respect to these pilot's from a " tin can" sailor DD931 USS FORREST SHERMAN AND USCG VET
Safest line shack
"Injuries not service related"
Is he alive ?
It sucks. 😶
I think this was shown in that one TV Show "1000 Ways to Die"
Incredible! So proud to be an American 🇺🇸. These people are amazing!!
Yt recomendando videos gore antiguos
No loose objects in the seat. No bubble gum. This is fake!!! I like it never the less.
I’ve heard stories & interviews for years . Tu to actually see the horizon moving up & down , it’s just a wow moment ! Combine that with the visual aid of a piece of paper representing a pilot view @ night & I can only say that I’d prefer to not do anything remotely similar to! Newfound respect for carrier pilots ! Thank you guys for being the tip of Americas spear , I realize why I sleep so soundly ! This from a Security Bn marine !
The living went right and the Darwin winner went left to heaven.
Well that sucked.
I wish my radiator fan had that much CFM’s
@3:00 back in the day JELLO 🫡🇺🇸
These pilots are the best in the world by far!!! Awesome but crazy with the pitching deck.
Kevlar helmet saved the day!
Navy pilots are the best. Coming from a retired Army officer.
Why am I just now seeing this
I was part of the bus driver detachment the next year at the Seattle Fleet week. The Crash CPO was the OIC. What a humble and funny dude. He would praise the bravery of his guys whenever this crash was brought up. That night, i was manning a weapons magazine after the GQ went down.
That sucks!
North Atlantic 1970 USS WASP CVS18 screws were out of the water…
When Cdr. Fravor is making his approach and the ready room is full of jokes about not getting aboard, Cdr. Bull, his XO, is visibly concerned for his safe landing, which he pulled off like the professional he is.
I didn't know what "Pitching" was but by the end.... Y'all were all ROCKSTARS‼️✌️🇺🇸🙏
Flight Deck crew is THE most dangerous job in the Navy.
Does this kind of thing still happen, or have they put measures in place to ensure crew safety?
I believe he either retired or moved up the ladder He was willing to put it on the line for a younger pilot due to the conditions Absolute respect.
Inches away from being a liveleaks trending
Don't forget, there is still a bird in the air even after the last recovery.
I find it incredibly stupid to give pilots round parachutes. Round parachutes in this day and age are just plain stupid, especially if you're not jumping in some formation. Even then, I think it's better if all military units had square/rectangular para hutes that can actually be directed to where the person needs to be. There would be way less injuries upon landing, and you would be able to avoid stupid shit like the ejectee landing in the burning fire of his/her crashed plane. Not much extra training would need to be done, either.
