Actually "Deutschösterreich du herrliches Land" was never the official anthem, only commonly used. Also, "Sei gesegnet ohne Ende" was made anthem in 1928 I believe, so the dates here are wrong.

Yikes, 3 years later it's showing the reality of how hard it was to find information about Osborne back then. They are certainly no proof of your claim that the piece by Renner and Kienzl has ever been an official anthem of the Austrian Republic in any of its incarnations. An anthem to be an official one has to be adopted by a resolution of parliament. This never happened. And not only was this piece never an official anthem, it was also deeply unpopular with the majority of Austrians. Whatever it is you are completely immersed in, it's clearly not Austrian history.

In fact, it was very popular to the point people just took it as anthem although never officially being the anthem of German Austria. The people were just tired of Habsburg regency and therefore the old Imperial Anthem
