@scotthebuilder, what you’ve done is incredible. I’m looking to clad our current garage door with batten like this but in our case, we’ll still use it as a garage. My question to you is, did you retain the old garage door and just clad the door? If so, what did you use to do this? Was it nailed into the door or glued? Thank you in advance

Yes MDF is banned in the USA, and it’s strict. Have seen pallets refused entry because of feet made from MDF. When I was on the exhibitions the only way it could be allowed in was if it was sealed and painted. You aren’t allowed to cut it in any of the exhibition halls either. It will be the asbestos of the modern era.
