Whts ubes and why its used ?
Some esc don't have 5 volt output . so we need to connect an external module to get 5 volt supply for powering reciever . From this particular frame of reference, that 5 volt supplying module is known as ubec . If some esc have inbuilt 5 volt output , in such case connecting an external ubec is useless .

because of the wonky thrust configuration, thrust will produce nose-down moment; ALL the time. the elevator can be trimmed to compensate for that moment. but that trim will be a continual source of 'extra' drag.

Thank you for bringing these issues to my attention. I have used a brushed esc of 20 amp . You can also use motor driver instead .you can use Dvr88332 motor driver as it is very light weight and efficient
