Trexler Mountain Biking - The Return of Brian's
Rode this yesterday for the first time. I really wanted to hit that last drop, but it is so loose and rutted that I decided against it. Nice riding!
Those trails are so much fun. Glad to live just 6 miles away from it
Gloves are killer! Where did you get them from?!
your car wasn't broken into !! bad area for car theft, its out of control ..bad area
Chunky goodness!
Deer at 3:13 haha nice!
nice scenic woods...just the right amount of challenge!
How well would a gravel bike do on these trails?
It would be fine. May get slippery when wet, muddy or rooty but it is mostly mellow trails
nice video i hope to get there in 2024
nice ride i think i will go there next year...trying to put together a week of MTB in different places
Check the kiosk where the map is by the parking lot. You'll want to take note of when bow and arrow deer hunting begins and ends. It starts Sept. 16th and ends sometime in January. So be sure to wear something bright for safety.
I was at Harmony Hill to hike the Orange Trail today. There are very deep ruts , and tons of exposed roots on the steep downhill parts of the trail worn away by water so take your time.. Most definitely take a photo of the map provided at the parking lot. And, most definitely, do not use headphones unless you have them turned way down or you will not hear the bikes coming, and in many spots there is not much space to step aside.; especially on the part with steep sides running down to the water. There's no problem with the trail blazes on the way down, but coming back it can be confusing when you see a couple of trails, and no blaze. There aren't any places to rest until after you get to where it finally comes to the area where they have a couple of picnic tables.
I cant see anything due lighting!
Is the whole place very rocky like this?
Yes, I've never rode this but have hiked the loop that includes this trail. And disc golfed quite a bit... the entire park is rocky like that.
@@xjwigluszx I've actually rode this recently! It was difficult but rewarding getting over some of the sections.
Are these good beginner trails ?
I would not recommend this trail for beginners. I would try the green trails at Birdsboro which is nearby for a more beginner friendly option
Is this trail one way?
It's two way
That second arch on sidewinder is a tuffy, the exposed roots and small drop make it very difficult.
Bro how do you even get there
Thx, belatedly, just coming to your well done video of Wissahickon. It's hailing distance from Pike Creek and on our list to visit. Your video documentation is quite helpful.
Most people I talk to dislike this trail. I started out riding here so it always had a place in my heart. Plus it’s a quick ride to East Branch Brewery 🍻
How come you don't talk anymore?
I am just making super simple pov videos of trails now in case anyone wants to see a trail before they hit it
Bro, these r not unexpected... You have a $6000 bike and still don't know how to ride...
Where is this trail located? At the ski resort?
Yup. Right next to Shakedown Street on their bike park map. So new the maps aren't updated yet
To start this trail did you park at the main Wissahickon trail parking lot? Thanks
I parked across the street from Chestnut Hill College on Northwestern Ave
I think I learned two things watching this video. 1. If your spokes are loose, tighten them. 2. If you rim is out of true, just say you don’t care. Not sure I needed a tutorial for that.
Heading there in 3 weeks!!! Thank you for raising my confidence that there is a trail for me!🎉
I’m sort of newer to the mountain biking community but I really enjoy it so far, and I wanted to ask if anyone here has any tips for me!
Good to see ya back at it!! Never been to French Creek, it's on the list.
It's a good spot. Video makes it look super flat and smooth though. Extremely chunky the whole way down. Be ready for it!
Nice gloves
Love your videos
I've been their, you truly captured the beauty
I love this trail! Im finally able to clear all the jumps and its so much fun
How many miles is this area? Trails well marked?
Looks like you need dual suspension, so rocky.
If your still riding go to trailforks and follow nicks night train in pp. Thats the loop…
Just hiked the orange trail yesterday for the first time and there was crazy mud and ice, and I was nervous the whole time. Yet... I kinda enjoyed it, and I hope that's the hardest of them all. If so, I'm coming for the white next (and why I'm here now).
This must be where the Kilo Tray Ballaz hang out
Es bellisimo.jpg
Great overview. Helpful. Other riders vids just show the rider going down the trail without much of a description and/or information about the overall spot. Your stands apart
Just moved to the area recently. I'm only 20 minutes from this trail. Looks like some nice riding.
Yeah. It's a great spot
A few takeaways as this will be my first enduro: Thanks. In regards to jumps and rock gardens, it looks like they will be avoidable. Looks like is mostly high speed meandering singletrack, which means maybe I will have a chance in my bracket. And by the looks of it, I may be riding at a normal ride pace like you are, so I feel more confident that people won't be yelling to go faster and such. Now just wondering if I should buy and take a stans dart tool.
Don't worry about anything during your first race. Just have fun and the other riders are always super chill and helpful. Just pull over and let people pass if you hear rider. No big deal
Great video. Making a trip to Killington BP next weekend. Blue Mountain is my home BP. From the Lancaster area.
You will definitely enjoy yourself. And I love blue as well
@@povtrails1219 Rode at Killington 2 weeks ago. Great place posted some from the GoPro. Slow at first
Came across your channel in doing some research for Wissahickon. Absolutely love your videos, and they’re super helpful. Do you have a recommendation for a relative beginner/intermediate on the trails in Wissahickon? Would you go Yellow or White?
Thanks! I would recommend yellow first either direction but north to south is my favorite. White is a good route too if you want a little more technical challenge after the yellow trail. Hope you enjoy the trails there!
After doing this race, would you do it again? I’m thinking about entering the race in October.
Yeah. It's a great place to race. I would have done it more times if it wasn't for scheduling conflicts
@@povtrails1219 do they give you the stage layout ahead of time for pre-riding?
@@SegsySantaMTB yeah I think they give you a map in an email on Thursday then it's taped on Friday and then you can practice Saturday then Sunday race.
VT has some amazing trails, I went up too soon after winter ended, I plan on going again but later in the year next time.
sick dude that trail looks so fun
Great trail. Highly recommend. More fun if you know how to jump
Many thanks for this clean, clear video! It has convinced me to start our day at Killington right here. Keep it up!
Thanks for the video. This place is close to me. Question: What are you wearing when biking? I see that you're wearing knee-pads. Do you have a full-face helmet or anything else?
I wear knee pads, elbow pads, and a full face. Full face is mostly for the GoPro though as I mount it to the chin bar
This was a fantastic guide. Thanks for making it!
Hey hope you are still riding I try to ride here 2-3 times a week, if you still hit this trail I’d love to ride with you
I am riding although my schedule is always all over the place. Next time I head up there I'll let you know. I tend to ride pretty early in the mornings on the weekends
