Click clack we back ya River Rats! Today was the last day of our hunt at Sandhill Flyways. I started off a little slow in the beginning for a few reasons but pulled through in the end with some nice ducks and killer shots. Once again I'd like to give a huge thanks to all of the guides that helped out on this hunt, and a shout out to everyone else out there with me. Double curls?
I'm 77 years old and shot several double curled drake mallards over the years. So, what does double curled mean?
@@dc3604they have these little tail feathers that curl up. I believe it means he has two? Not a big duck hunter but watch a bit of RUclips on it.
I think it’s these little tail feathers that curl up might signify like maturity of the duck.

Sounds like me going for a jog after a 6 month hiatus.
You forgot your game license at home.
Couple of things 1. I know I said shoot that hen mallard and it was a teal, I honestly couldn’t see from my side of the blind and I straight up was looking at my decoy lol 2. Yes I did realize I called that hen pintail a “gadwall”, I did realize it later in the hunt, that’s on me for not having that on camera and including it. I really didn’t think it mattered that much 3. This was my first time having someone follow me with a camera in my face for a hunt, I think some of my mistakes were due to the fact that I was not used to that and felt the need to talk a lot. All that being said, hope yall realize the message I tried to get across. Thanks for the support!

2:55 I find scouting pretty fun! If its just a scouting day you don't have to get up as early and you get to explore more places. Maybe get a shot at some other game like deer or hogs in my area.

one thing i have been carrying , is a hand towel , i dont like gloves, on my calling hand, so after you pick up your shot duck, move decoys around, just dry your hands, when its real cold, hand warmers also
That’s a smart idea with the hand towel! I’ve never found a pair of truly waterproof gloves so this might be the next best option!
