Making Moral Decisions at End of Life
Good Early Morning from Northern Michigan Sisters... I just finished watching "Coming Home" on EWTN. The special guest was Sr.Diana Marie. Sister Diana Marie, I REALLY REALLY hope that you personally get to see and read my comment because I find you not only fascinating, but inspirational and just engaging in such a rare fashion.. If memory serves, this is probably the 4th (ish) upload I have watched that told your story. I want you to know that from the deepest recesses of my heart and soul... you have touched me in such an EXTRAORDINARY WAY, that I really feel invigorated and excited to have my own reversion at 62 years old. I have not been to Mass, Confession, had the Holy Eucharist or any Sacraments for well over 20 years. Just hearing you reference St. Mary Madelene, and making a bold but very truthful and factual statement that the Church is a hospital for sinners and that until we draw our last breath on this Earth...it is NEVER TOO LATE to run to the foot of The Cross. I just wanted to say thank you so very much for just being you and sharing your story. With what you have ignited in me, thank you seems so inadequate. I wish I had the words to really convey the gift you have blessed me with. Here it is, 4 am, and I watched that EWTN interview like a starving human who had not had food nor drink for months and months. Again I am so humbled by the wonderful Grace that The Dear Lord has bestowed upon me through your intersession. Sister.... you are a ROCKSTAR!! If I was a betting woman... I would go all in having someone so unique and special as a Vocation Directoress. May Our Blessed and Great Lord bless you and keep you and all of the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne and a special blessing and continued prayers for all of your precious patients. The Middleton fam sends all y'all all our love and please be assured always of our unending prayers for y'all ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️. St. Mary Madelene pray for the Hawthorne Dominion Sisters and their precious patients. St Mary Madelene pray for us 🙏

That was very enjoyable! It made us smile. Thank you all so much!
Salvation is not found in carved stone but in Christ Jesus our Lord and our God alone. One can never save one self by being good , or by works. Salvation come from Jesus Christ death and resurrection. Here is our only hope that NOT of Rome or Canon Law or Popes or Catholicism or religious rituals which are not Biblical. Only this is our Salvation that JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD WHO CAME IN THE FLESH, SUFFERED DIED AND REDURRECTED AND WILL ONE DAY COME TO RECEIVE HIS ONLY BRIDE THE CHURCH OF BELIEVERS THUS: CHRISTIANS As it is written: Verially verially i say unto thee unless ye be born again ye cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus himself said: “You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48) Jesus did not only call us to acknowledge Him, but to follow Him and be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect. We know this is not a task that we can perform ourselves, sinful creatures that we are, but we strive to follow Him closely with the help and strength of the Holy Spirit. In this way, we hope to bear fruit and give glory to God: “By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be my disciples.” (John 15:8) “Jesus then said to the Jews who had believed in him, "If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples,” (John 8:31) “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." (John 13:35) We are here because Jesus called each one of us in a very particular way to be his disciples by being a bold witness of His presence in the world. We aim to follow His way of life being obedient, chaste and poor. We are a concrete presence of His love by showing love for one another. We have free homes for incurable cancer patients. People of all faiths and backgrounds who cannot afford care any place else are cared for at no cost to them. No insurance, no government reimbursement, no payment from the patient nor their family. We operate solely by trusting in God’s providence through the generosity of the general public who hears of our work through word of mouth (we do not advertise nor send out mailings). I agree with you in that we are not saved by anything we do, but we must respond to the love we receive from our Lord Jesus Christ. It is our faith in and love for Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to do the works we do. Our works have value only in that they are a response of love to the love we receive from Him, who loved us first. “But are you willing to recognize, …, that faith without works is useless?” (James 2:20) “For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.” (James 2:26)
Our beautiful Dominican Sisters!! I love them!
Thank you! 😂
Congratulation Sisters, praying for your continued perseverance.
That looks like Fr Restrict, Hello from Buffalo
May God bless all the Hawthorne Dominicans always. 🙏🏼
What Community was this from? Dominican Order (Order of Preachers or O.P.), But Where Exactly. Are those 2 Women Still in the Order?
Hello Mary, These are the vows of two Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of Saint Rose of Lima, also known as Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne. This ceremony was celebrated at the Motherhouse: Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, New York. Both of these Sisters are still with the Community. We belong the Dominican Order, which is the same as Order or Preachers or O.P. The Order of Preachers was founded by Saint Dominic de Guzman and that is why they are known as Dominicans. Hope this helps.
How beautiful! Thank you! I want to be like Mother Alphonsa!
