"Secher Nbiw" is in the book but only mentioned three times. Leto and Ghanima use it as the code words. It is the Golden Path in an old long dead language which is Egyptian I think.

If you haven't read Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein then you may not be familiar with the term "grok" but that is what you described at the end about learning everything there is to know about a thing as part of loving it. All the flaws have to be included for a full understanding and appreciation. 😂

Just listening and nearing the end of this podcast. 🖤THIS. THIS SO MUCH. 🖤 We agree on a 100% here. That´s why I hate Vampire Diaries past season 1 like, everybody is a vampire and no one is special anymore. We get a glimpse of being isolated from almost everybody else and a subculture with the FK show. Aside from our little gem show, we only have the IwtV movie where we get this insight effectively. And heck yes, point me to this kind of vampire concept in another show or book. We´ve only got seconds here and there (few snippets in the Being Human pilot, seconds in Moonlight etc....) and the rest is Twilight or mindless monsters. *sobs loudly*

This is the best adaptation so far. There are extended versions of it and the 2003 follow up miniseries Children of Dune.

Spoilers Originally Takashima was supposed to be the sleeper agent before she decided not to continue with B5 so that trap door moved to someone else. The unexplained stuff like the log cleanup would have been done by her.

The tube in the center would have to be spinning extremely quickly or they would still be in effectively zero gravity being so close to the central axis.

Fortunately the "third age" question does get answered eventually 😂

Hey really nice atmosphere. This book is my third book on getting back on track with reading things and your reflection on it helped me appreciate it more :D (although i do disagree on the point that alcoholism was used well, it seemed to me as if alcoholism and drugs were the one thing any character knew to cope with loss or to celebrate anything)

Wish I could do a german podcast for FK, totally would love it. But would only be half the fun alone

Small group of people against impossible odds sounds more like Blake's 7 or Farscape rather than Babylon 5 honestly. And "Love Grows" and next one are worst-rated Lexx episodes ever

In first movie it was that Lexx was grown from aminoacids in Stan's tooth, then it was about Reform Planet shields. And Xev should know who he is, as Zev in 1st season actually asked him "You really a THE Standley Tweedle?"

The bridge crew deciding to go back is my second favorite moment in the Stormlight Archive.

I originally watch Bionic Showdown for the original shows only years later I watched again because of Ger. 😊
