This Brazilwood bow is newly rehaired, regripped and re-wrapped. Nickel mounted, and weight of approx 57.62 Grams. Balance point is about 244 mm from end of the stick where it meets the button. What type of rosin do you use
Sometimes Lonesome Pine rosin, sometimes violin crisp rosin, sometimes just whatever is available at the time. We don't have a specific brand we only use. I hope that helps, is there a reason your asking or something you wish to know more about? Thx for watching!
@@RevivoViolins just asking because my rosin kinda sucks 😅. I wanted to know other types people often use.
@@Fallen_Angel.437 Lonesome Pine is highly recommended by Catherine - Hope that helps. If you're in a more humid climate, try violin crisp, it takes out the hiss some sticky rosins have.
@@RevivoViolins it's usually very dry, but around the end of summer to winter it gets very humid

😂 this bowmaking family is still in business and very embarassing for there reputation. This bow should be destroyed. Fraud is fraud. Ill have the family contact you about this matter. This is clearly a junk factory bow. Any reputable violin dealer knows this maker. They made alot of bows. Maestronet and facebook free information for vocabulary does not make a sucessful dealer
You talk like your selling multi million dollar violins and work on bible school table and 1 year studying a violins outline and still have no idea. Player sounds great ! Buyer beware!
Fantastic work to you both, this violin sounds great! I have a later Voigt family violin and love the texture of sound these instruments have. One suggestion- I would try the classic Dominants with the Aluminium D and a Gold label E setup for an instrument like this to let it really wake up and possibly increase its projection, if you haven't. Just a note from experience with my Voigt, having tried modern, higher tension strings and those actually gave less sound than Dominant and Eudoxa.
Thank you for the tip - and much saved time, trials, money, and research. I will take your advice. Especially with a few similar older instruments. Cheers and play on my friend! If you have any videos or sound samples, I'd be interested to hear!

Its possible that what you are experiencing on these double stops when you hear a third lower note are actually the so called tartini tones which aren't a purely acoustic phenomena but rather a psycho-acoustic one.
