Thank you for the demonstration. I did it also, putting it in cold water and gradualy cooking; no change in color. Also flipping it over; nothing seems to work. When warm I put it in cold water, nothing changes. A waste of money. I presume that some "egg timers" do work, but the changing dye must be expensive; so some makers (and salesmen) decide to foul the buyers with some cheaper but not working dye. You and I must have been fould, I conclude.

Stop! All that pressure of tugging and twisting with the nippers is pulling on the hoof wall and separating it from the inside. Sharp tools are a must. And soak the hoof in water for a few minutes, it will soften.

I just bought a home there and can't wait to move!

entertaining! and, great camera work! I've learned through experience that this fellow seems to know what he's doing in that you want to leave the foot a little larger for the strictly pasture horse. Trimming too much will result in horse walking on its sole, and thereafter it's difficult to get the hoof wall to grow out to relieve sole pressure.

Perhaps you should have read and followed the instructions! What a bad video. I have this exact same timer, I use it every time and it works fine.

If you leave it alone it will change. You need to leave it alone.

if you can’t see the indication on it because of boiling bubble's..., remove it from the heat source, read the indication, act by putting it back on the heat source, or remove the egg from the hot water, shock it whit cool water, & voila your egg is ready for use...

This is NOT how you use the Egg perfect!This is;Start whit cold water, put the eggs and the Egg Timer in cold water, not HOT like the amateur in this video! And than its child's play... as the heat comes, the colour of the egg will give an indication how far the process is of boiling an egg, soft, mid, hard...your Welcome, ;-)
