I am curious about the coding discussion. I am IT teacher and all I see and hear is that it is hard to get programming jobs and programming is more than just writing code. As you mentitioned as well. But what skills should we teach at school to better prepare for what really happens in day to day working?

Monk and Warrior seem pretty hard in POE 2. Mercenary and Ranger are like mid-tier. Then Sorcerer. I think the easiest seem to be Witch.

This game is brutal as a solo player. I joined up with a few people and it was much more enjoyable in my opinion.

52 Deaths by end of Act 2 as a necromancer Infernalist Witch. That's with bodies covering, energy shield, life regen and a shield to block. GGG truly tuned this thing to 11

Just saw this video randomly recommended on my youtube feed. I have to say, you have really good insight despite being new to the game. Your insight on runewords was spot on, and a lot of your commentary on the difference between game design then vs now also was pretty accurate. Great video. I'm throwing a subscribe and I'm curious what your thoughts are on other games like PoE or PoE 2.

Poe 2 is super gear dependent. You could get by in poe 1 because your gems leveled up. It's not the case in this one. It's kind of hard to get the ball rolling. Get as much life, resistances, and damage as you can. Sometimes, I farm zones until I get money or currency for an upgrade

Immediately goes to lvl 2 without having even killed or even seen anything so far XD A bit more XP for more lvls and skills and items doesn't hurt, or you're gonna be lagging behind, and selling things without ID'ing them really hurts me, probably threw away good shit, and for sure for a lot less gold a lot of the time.

I beat the game with lightning monk, takes longer than some classes to prep for certain fights gear wise / skills but once the entire thing is online its OP as hell.

Just stop playing lightning. Go Frost with Ice Strike and High Freeze Build Up in passive Tree. Additional Herald of Ice and you blast through the campaign since you almost insta freeze every enemie with your auto hits. Frozen enemy = cant attack you. And early game Attack Speed und pure damage king. Ignore Evasion/Energy Shield for the most part and go for Evasion/Armor for the beginning.

Monk is a strong class. Keep youre weapon as high damage as possible and combine youre assets. I like to focus on ice as freezed enemies cant hit you nack and the Herals of Ice lets you explode the, for massive AOE damage

get the 40% aoe skill gem on the bell to build up stun meter easily, teleport to him drop bell and use tempest fury with faster attack gem (you can add orb of storms skill for more aoe) this will give you kill fairly easy for most bosses and packs in early/mid game.

1:03:30 you can see your crit chance and other stats by click on the arrow next to the dps numbers of the skill gems

In upgrading weapons make sure to read you skills description. so you know how to scale the damage further. same as in passive skill tree.

so basically in crafting you need to use Transmutation = upgrades a normal item to magic with 1 mod Augmentation = adds an additional mod to a magic item to make 2 mods Regal orb = adds a third mod to an item and makes the item to rare Exalted orb = adds a fourth mod to an item and makes it rare item. you can do this 3 times. you can have a total of 6 mods in an item(rare)

Don't be sorry for respecting the rating system, nothing is a 10 because nothing is perfect so it's fundamentally delusional to give a 10. The fact that most rating systems goes 1-10 is a design flaw, 'cause nothing can ever realistically be a 10 in the first place. Rating systems that include decimals are way more accurate. I would say RW are generell OP, but there are cheap RW which are really OP, like Spirit talthulortamn in a shield and you get +2 skills, 35fc, a lot of mana and ressis. Thats insane. But RW works well as part of the game especially in the End-Game. And they are also uniques which has worth, it depends on your build. And the most precious stuff is rare, and crafted stuff, especially circlets, amus and rings. And honestly some things you couldnt do with rare or uniques alone. I mean okay i build crap smither for ubers and he works well, but i needed a sorc for tele, because no eni. And this would be the RW which is most OP in my view, teleport for everyone, i dont know but i think it shouldnt be added. However a good char has most of the time uniques and RW mixed. For example my summoner, he depends on the merc, and the merc needs ds and cb, leech thats important for bosses. So i can give him gullis(set) for for cb, and ds. A eth. Tomb reaver with 3 s. with ias jool.m and 2 amns for leech. Finally he wears an eth. Duriels. I could use RW also but every combi has something i dont need. Obedience has 40cb, but also cold dmg which isnt good for the CE from the necro.
