Riding Bicycle in Snow
Просмотров 18110 лет назад
Hi everyone, The first snow this season and since I got a new road bike in summer, I wanted to test it in snow just for fun and I took a video with my phone. I realized that this is very bad for the road bike itself so please don't try this unless you modified your road bike properly. I installed winter tires and fenders now so I can ride.

    Any manly men in North America who drive big trucks and think they're the best drivers in the world need to see how it's really done in Beijing. The alpha male in America wil crumble so fast there.

    In China they used to ride bikes a lot, wasn't that better for the environment and health? Sometimes what seems like progress is not really progress. A number of cities around the world are turning to more bicycle use.

    • @vincenttang4680
      @vincenttang4680 7 лет назад

      Haha! I agree! Bikes are much more environmentally friendly than those new cars. The city now is kinda getting into ebikes cuz they cover more distances and are faster than both driving or the subway. I even go out on my ebike and leave my car in the garage now in Beijing

    I've noticed that not many people use their indicators when changing lanes in China, why is this?

    • @vincenttang4680
      @vincenttang4680 8 лет назад

      Two main reasons: 1. Although it is required in the laws of China to use signals when changing lanes, it is just not a very common practice. People are used to other people changing lanes without signals. 2. When some people see you signal to change into their lane and they don't want to cut them off, they will step on the gas and not let you get in the lane you want. This is especially common in rush hour traffic. 3. In China, the first car has the right of way, unlike America where the car in the lane has the right of way, which makes turn signals for lane change not very necessary.

      Fair enough, although I'm not really worried with how they drive in America, it's when Chinese people start driving here in Australia that concerns me, their lack of knowledge and driving style causes alot of accidents.

      I live in this university town (aka lot of Chinese) in the US for 10 years and have seen tons of car accidents (we are in the south), not a single one had Asians involved. I don't Know anything about Australia so i asked Dr. google, the result is funny. Here we go, ========================= Researchers at the University of Sydney reported in 2010 that among drivers aged 25 and younger, the crash risk of Asian-born drivers is actually about half that of Australian-born drivers. Lest readers immediately lampoon the native-born Australians for being too liberal with the Foster’s, these results were replicated in a 2011 Canadian study, where researchers found that recent immigrants (largely from China and India) were 40 to 50 percent less likely than long-term residents to be involved in a crash. --------------------------- Source www.washingtoncitypaper.com/columns/straight-dope/article/13046281/are-people-of-some-races-worse-drivers-than-others-statistically

    • @vincenttang4680
      @vincenttang4680 8 лет назад

      Interesting! This is a good report that shows that driving behaviors or any crime and habits should not be associated with certain races and no certain problems can be addressed to single races or groups. We live in a multicultural society where we should learn to solve problems together and be responsible together. Unfortunately, where I live in Toronto, Canada, there is still a little bit of myth that Chinese drivers cause accidents. On RUclips, you can still find many videos which make fun of drivers in Russia through compilations of car accidents...

    • @vincenttang4680

      +Mingwei Zhang more than 7000000 cars. 200000 do not have Beijing license plates. Half the population lives outside the 5th ring road, which means that every morning 10000000 people enter the city. All of these number explain why the traffic is bad.
