M109R, ride with the guys to the Freemansburg Motorcycle Hill Climb

Muffled audio. I tried locking audio recorder in the trunk, which turns out next to being weatherproof is also relatively sound proof. 20:44 D-Block running back to the front of the pack for the next intersection...

What year is this?
The m109 is not a good starter bike (mine is a 2017) as its very heavy and harder to operate at slower speeds. Stopping and tight turns (9 foot u-turns) are something to practice. Letting the bike push you forward while stopping is a problem. I tipped mine twice in a parking garage with in the first week but I been clean since. Respect the beast before unleashing it as going fast is the easy part. You may practice laying it down and practice picking it up as I'm sure it will happen at least once. Duck walking it in gravel is bad when backing up. Once you are in 90% control of the bike, its awesome. My first was a Suzuki m50 at 5'6".
Belle ride et méchante son
how is it easy or hard to drive? becuse i afread to fall down with 347KG.
Something's wrong with that bike bro..
poor audio recorder... check later videos, bike magically fixed itself...
Reminds me of these country back road that I ride on in Texas
Im also thinking of making the m109 boss my first motorcycle as well. I'm 6'2" 280lbs, i think this will be a great first bike. I was also looking at the 2019 c90 t boss. I love that one too. Nice video, i see you are more comfortable with the bike too. Rock on
Took only few rides to get used to the size of the bike, especially during slow speed turns. Other than that, you are a big dude, c90 is the middle size, I would go for M109R or C109RT. I do not mind the weight anymore when idle (just gotta be mindful of close to 800lbs always being there), and I still needed very forward highway pegs since "forward" controls are just not enough, and I'm 6'1".
Sound great 👍
Always a great ride. A little more fun is on the other side coming up from Port Jervis if you were heading back from NY97 along the Delaware
Agree, Hawks Nest all the way to Roebling’s Delaware Aqueduct.
I live right next to the hill climb. Ride these roads all the time.
A m109r it's my first bike too a 2007
Any issue with dropping 2nd gear?
@@FoxHollowWoodworking yep, my 2nd gear didn't work to much, but you can drive it without any problem without the 2nd gear I use the bike on a long travel from sonora to L.A without the 2nd and never left me down
2025 m109r do you recomended ??
@ALGL6AH nothing changed with 2025. I would save half of the money and buy under 10k miles 09 and up and then start buying accessories and make it my own.
@@ALGL6AH nothing's wrong with the bike, the big problem is the same bike after 18 years and don't have abs, I think it's literally the definition of "bike" two wheels, brakes and a motor not assistants
Enjoy and ride safe. 🤘🏽
Always!
do you find the need for 6th gear as most people complain?
I never really understood that complaint. You can be in the 5th at highway speeds that can already get you into trouble, and barely touch the throttle. 6th would be good for long smooth highway rides, but this is not Goldwing. IMO M109R is made to enjoy low end torque, like if you decide you wanna pass somebody it is happening OK.
Smooth ride
Great video. I've always loved these bikes. The look is incredible and from what I see here the performance is awesome. At 56 I'm leaning on getting my first bike but i want no other bike than this. Been eyeing it for years now.
Couldn't agree more!
You choose the best bike dude. I love the M109R. I own a Honda Shadow Sabre, 2024 Harley Breakout, and an M109R. Just an amazing ride.
Right on!
Awesome ! Subscribed
Thanks!
Love that back road of New Jersey I'm from New Jersey with the same bike where is this place
Randolph to Bedminster through Mendham
Yeah nice I like it indeed man it sounds awesome big thumbs up from me.
Much appreciated
How are you finding the bike now after having it for a while?
I absolutely love it. At the beginning it was a challenge. I took me some time to get used to sheer weight of the bike, rev matching, slow speed maneuvers, heavy upshift from 1st gear, etc. But now I get to enjoy every single ride, and I think it shows on the latest videos.
@@FoxHollowWoodworking Thant's awesome I short shift first normally like change gears at say just over or on 2000 and let 2nd do the work if not just start off in 2nd on mine but glad you are enjoying it.
Are you running open exhaust?
aftermarket exhaust, so no servo valve
@@FoxHollowWoodworking Well it sounds awesome with that set up
@@rolandkeith5322 switched since to some better video audio setup. Out here ruclips.net/video/MxW66WAQdH4/видео.htmlsi=wdPLZzzJ3q2WTDlr sounds about right.
Nice. Probably just the camera but that bike sounds super clunky.
Yeah, got very budget friendly "action" camera. No high hopes there, but I will be adding external microphone soon. Trying to learn as much as I can about moto vlogging on a set under $100. Bike sounds pretty good in real life, hopefully it will show a little better in future uploads.
yeah it sounds like the camshaft is crazy lumpy, like it'd stall at idle
Now I'm really gonna have to work on good external microphone@@ChildrenOfDesire
