Thank you for this video.
Ase'
I drink a lot of tea
Saint Croix was colonized by the Danish not the English.
Just finished Sunny Hostins’ Summer on the Bluff and started searching for more information. Thanks so much for sharing this and helping me to expand my territory. I never knew of such places!

Cj 💋👄💕❤️
Cj These were the good old days. When Black Families knew how to celebrate.
I drink a lot of tea and it makes me feel connected to my ancestors. People made it seem like it is only a European tradition and im happy to find this historical context to my love for tea.
I want to learn more. Any book ref?
❤❤❤
I'm married to his Great Granddaughter, formally named J.R. Jones herself. Since his Grandson and my Father In-law, J.R. Jones II only had daughters and we were blessed with sons, I named my first born, Ray in his honor if his Great Great Grandfather. We are truly proud of the legacy he has left for our family. Not only for what he did for the Black and Immigrant Communities, but his efforts to include us in American politics.❤ Thank you for this
That makes you and I cousins.
My mother is his niece.
@@DawlessHouseMusicWow! Well when you're in our House you know what's up? ❤️ Wow! I just saw your page. Showed my wife your picture and your resemblance is uncanny to her, her siblings our nieces & nephews, and especially my Father In-law.
Great video! Would you happen to know of any Black owned tea businesses in Baltimore or the Washington DC area?
Thx 4 sharing...But why call this history AFRICAN American, when our ancestors were clearly referred to as negro/colored during that time⁉️🤔
If that fist picture is fast forwarded to 2023, that car would be crushed by the weight of 22 whales.
My mother is in one of the Highland Beach Photo.
Thank you so very much for this awesome video! I thought everybody forgot about this! "It's not just a cup of tea. . ." "Icy tea", not what you think it is! Next up, discover "Porching".
Love those old photo's. Everybody seem's that little bit slimmer!
Never heard of Mr. Jones, however, appreciate these historical accounts of the movers, shakers and key players in the his/our/mysteries of the Black diaspora. Thanks!
I tried to love tea but coffee won!
This is so sickening how the government went into these thriving black communities and took their land, underpaid, and slapped them with park means more. This is why history is so important. To add insult to injury they had to pay taxes on the upkeep if they moved to the surrounding areas.
Indigenous peoples, not Africans.
I grow and sell herbs. Thank you so much for sharing! I love tea ☕️ -PoshGardenHerbs 🌱
MY FATHER WAS A TEA DRINKER , I ALWAYS DRINK TEA I WAS THE ONLY PERSON AT WORK THAT DID, IT IS VERY HEALTHY FOR YOU. NOW MY SON DRINK'S TEA.
Its impossible for Black Americans to go back to the 1950s when there was 2 parent homes, college or military was required, social clubs and not gangs, segregaton forced group economics, no heroin or crack.
Not impossible, but it would take a major catastrophe like WW3.
WW3 and 10 years re-education in responsibility, accountability and learning which political party was for slavery and Jim Crow(e).
Uhm there was definitely heroin brought in by the Sicilian mob and Cia. Remember the French connection? That was a real heroin route made by the Cia and lucky Luciano after ww2. The Cia, or OSS before the war, had ties to the mob to watch the ports in New York and New Jersey from German attack during ww2. They never dropped that friendship
Get rid of tattoos, weaves and wigs.
Waterfront properties now worth millions.
Nice research.
It’s interesting how they left out the fact that Oak Bluffs, the only place on Martha’s Vineyard Black people were allowed to even swim, 🏊🏾♂️ let alone live, was dubbed by whites as “The Inkwell”.
If the whites did not want the beach and pushed blacks there on the water front that was considered less than desirable. Now….the whites claim it and it becomes one of the richest places to go. I don’t get how this was allowed. Tell me how this makes sense!
I too being from St.Croix, I drink alot of tea bush from home.
Information that I didn’t know that I needed. Thanks for sharing such a necessary part of our history. ❤
Beautiful and Inspiring documentary.❤
Eight if it is a June tea what are we doing with an African flag? That’s disgusting and disrespectful. We have to be more original pick a flag that represents the American black experience in America not in Africa. We are two different groups, physically, and mentally.
Thanks for this part of histiory❤
Thank you for uploading this educational video.
That's fine you don't what as fine we on our own enjoying
Why don't they still have them?
White property developers burn them out and use psychology on them to move off the property. (FACTS) 🔥🔥💩😆😆
Black America was tricked into thinking "integration" at any cost was the key to a better future. It was a huge mistake. WE (Black people) surrendered too much for little to nothing in return.
Many families still own those homes and it is still a predominantly black area
@@supremefire31xd88 : You are spot on! And you realized the tactics used and the same happened to the natives of this land. For example, Trial of Tears circa 1831 - 1850
Wow we need this type of safe space all over the united states'
you dont need a safe place. Stop being ridiculous.

I love digs like that. It's very informative for how people once lived, and perhaps tells you who they were. A true learning experience!
