Hi, this watch it not related to Glashütte (Ebauche by J. Straub for UH/Alpina). Your watch has the regular Swiss Lever. Assmann and UH/Aplina colaborated. Assmann took this Ebauche and added the Glashütte escapement. With this sneaky practice Alpina tried to use the Glashütte Name for marketing.

I've seen that kind of hands setting mechanism in many French pocket watches dating from late 1800's early 1900's but otherwise no clue what that thing is. What does the inscriptions of the case tell?

Yes, its a swan-neck regulator. Its still a very fine regulator amongst other types

Hy. Thank you. The classic menswear. Since high-school I wear suits, jackets, vests etc. and at one point I decided to buy a pocket watch. My first one was a Molnija. Then I sold it and I bought a french one and so on :)
