I live 15 min from turkey creek and shawnee campground...I wish so much that the horse groups will let ODNR open up alot of these trails and service roads. The history of all those roads is fascinating. Anyone in the area planning on visiting these forest roads hit up the copper head fire tower just up from little bear lake and horse campground.

Great video footage didn't care for all the music . I'd rather here the vehicles and enjoy the view.

WHO the heck wants to drive 50 miles of gravel road? What a waste of Gas. I'm looking for some light off-roading in Ohio, but I'm not driving 50 miles on a gravel road to get to it.

I appreciate this! I'm in Cincinnati and looking for something beginner friendly. I don't have anything fancy. Just a rav4 hybrid with AT tires and +1.5" spring lift. I have only been in Shawnee for the backpacking loop, but looks like ill be going back

Are the forest roads passable with a Chevy trailblazer?

I have a 2015 Pro4X that i bought new. One if the first things i did was upgrade tbe suspension, which is terrribly soft, esoscially in the rear. I usually carry about 300lbs of gear in tbe back and was bottoming out too often. Went with double add a leaf rear, qnd Bilstein 5100's up front. Gave me 2" of lift, and fits the 285/85-17's nicely, with melt mod and front flaps removed.

An Xterra is plenty off road capable for almost all terrains except hard rock crawling. My 2012 Pro-4x has been to many remote spots all over the Sierra Nevada and Death Valley with no issues. It's mostly stock w minor suspension upgrades. Bought brand new, maintained meticulously, it's been a fun, reliable and economical adventure rig.

I'm up near Akron. About a year ago I bought a 2011 Xterra S. I'm ready to hit the backroads and do some camping this summer.

around 7 minutes in when you were off-road power the power lines were is this im in canton Ohio and want to do an overland trip there and dispersed camp off trail

nice video buddy if your ever around the bluewell wv area we got a big toyota group, we also ride side by sides lol but if you need any parts for that xterra i have 2 atm a 02 and a 01 the 02 has a full supercharger kit in working condition

Just got a 2006 Xterra. Not sure if it is the off road package, the vin says yes but still not sure, it’s old and had a lot of history. What would give away the off road model no doubts?

Did you have to modify tent to fit Xterra’s unconventional roof rack?

Rig is really shaping up. Very intrigued by the gps box. No so much by the rooftop tent. I know I’d fall out or off eventually.
