Truthfully if were talking straight self defense yes they will do the job. Peace of mind go a little more expensive.

The best EDC is the one you train with regularly not the one that is most comfortable. I carry a 10mm but I also have a 9mm I carry the 10 because I train with it more and is comfortable with my shooting ability with the firearm if something were to happen.

Aftermarket support for Glocks just means the stock parts suck so bad that people want to change them. I’m a Glock guy saying that, and I’ve carried different Glocks on duty for 20yrs, including 2 different Glock 19’s. I recently bought the Echelon 4.0 and I like it better than my 19’s, regardless of generation. There’s nothing on the Echelon that needs to be changed, and the optic mounting system is far superior to Glock’s mos. As for reliability, the Echelon has been out a while and there’s no issues being mentioned about them. Croatians are like Serbians, except for the religion, but they both know how to make weapons and guns, so the Echelon being manufactured in Croatia is a plus for me. The Hellcat series are also made in Croatia and they are excellent and reliable guns with zero problems in aware of, other than people saying the recoil is greater than other small 9mm guns.
