Was thinking of the Niji video I made a while back on a whim, and I encountered this interesting English quote from Mia Taylor in the latest chapter of SIFAS. Shuu's Australian accent is very noticeable
Love Live Nijigaku, but it's only the parts where Mia Taylor speaks English

New Yorker Mia Taylor Support the Seiyuu's YT channel: ruclips.net/user/ShuUchidaShuTube Edit: LMAO someone else did the same thing, I'm not even mad: ruclips.net/video/NKfSG4VRJSg/видео.html No copyright infringement intended. If there are ads, blame the very short clip of Aoi Canaria at the end
who thought it was a good idea to make her from new york
She also voiced Nanami in Heaven Burns Red.
Fujiwara san in another dimension sure is cute
Her english puts Mari's english to shame lol
Kore ga Japanese Kabedon
Alright now I gotta watch Love Live🤣. This is awesome
Name??
Is the character based in America? Would’ve been a lot better just let Shu do her Aussie accent
I understand that the character is a northern American but why do the Japanese have to put so much emphasis on this? Mixing Japanese and English is actually quite strange. Imagine you're talking to someone and out of nowhere they say: "Nǐ shì duì de"
Mia dreams about burgers. Love Live staff truly understand Americans
well, I guess Nijigasaki will be my second love live series
Whoops i stumbled the wrong video of Sonetto from Reverse 1999
Sometimes I forget that this is not actually just a dub, but actually just Mia speaking English lmao
ラブライブにじのさき学園だ
可愛い
Love Live staff saw Idolmaster's Anastasia and thought: What if we do that, but merrica?
Mia is my love forever ♾
Woman dreams about hamburgers She's american alright
In the game, initially i didn’t like her at all and i thought it was crazy unrealistic to have a 14 year old do all of those amazing things and then some but then i realized that this is literally love live and nothing needs to make sense if it doesn’t want to. That’s besides the point, she grew on me in the game, and the anime made me really love her!!! Plus her solo songs are absolute bangers!!! All the girls in Nijigaku are awesome!
Mia but she talks with her others personalities (in English)
Reminds me of maho from d4dj
lmao so true
Great video! From japan
It's so good!
I like that this anime has some foreigner idols.
All love lives seasons had foreigners
For the dub they should just use her voice
Mia Taylor
“why?! WHAT DOES SHE WANT?” hamburger
Still better than Lanzhu Zhong which mostly uses Mandarin Chinese words despite being from Hong Kong, a country that actually speak Cantonese Chinese (her accent is flawless tho).
I mean if her accent is flawless for the wrong language, that’s still bad.
Blame the staff for not doing proper research about her character
Is this the dub?
Nope, it's actually the original Japanese dub.
her seiyuu speaks english and is pretty good at it when I searched her and saw her info
Remake the video for the english dub-
A bit lower, ah, right there
Mia best girl <3
What if Mia said, "Asshole nanoka"
😂😂😂
😂😂
ミアは英語好きだね!!🐰
stAdiUm
I love you Mia
So is there a love live character when to new york before this character speaks like an american citizen ?
Actually, in Love Live! The School Idol Movie, μ's went to New York and performed Angelic Angel!
Ok thanks
"What's she thinking?!" - my personal fav
It’s a shame that Shu never got to voice Mia in the English dub. Then again, it would be a poor practice for an Australian to talk like a New Yorker. Take Black Butler for example. It had some Texan VAs voicing British characters.
It would've been dope though. Sure her Australian accent would've probably been extremely distracting, but i think the Dub would've been infinitely better if she came back to voice her. Hell the only reason i watched the D4DJ Dub was because Maho has the same voice in English and Japanese. Sure her accent was distracting, but that was only kind of an issue every other episode. Like one episode it's noticeable, the next it's fine.
I do feel if they did bring Shu in for the English dub, they could probably rewrite Mia's character and say she's either from Boston, Massachusetts, or from Australia to explain the accent. But Boston would have been better since that state shares the same things Mia likes in New York.
@@victoriabell9546 That could work.
Shuu, I love you dear, but why does your english sound a little forced when your a native english speaker??
Because her va grew up in Australia. The accent there is a bit different.
Cause Shu is Australian, while her character here is American, so although she's a native English speaker doesn't mean she's a native American English speaker
I actually think it's the dialogue
Love live, the anime that fully represent all of the stereotypes people had to the foreigners, lmfao
Her Australian accent slips out a _teeny_ bit sometimes. Like, you could tell it's a non-American trying to sound American.
It would've been worse of Shu Uchida carried on the English dub, no wonder why Mia got casted by Lindsay Sheppard instead
@@tennojiberri Yeah, a lot of fans were disappointed that she didn't do the English dub, but it doesn't seem like she'd be able to do an American accent well enough for that.
I think she’s literally only a few steps from having a super authentic accent, she just hasn’t gotten there yet, I wish I could help her lol
@@phothewin6019 it’s also worth mentioning that casting people who live in Japan for English dubs is very difficult due to not having the guaranteed consistent recording environment/equipment, the EN dub for D4DJ said that using Maho with her original actress was pretty difficult for that reason
@@tennojiberri finally someone realized one of the reasons why Shu didn't cast for the English dub
海外版の吹き替えも秀ちゃんにやってもらおう
Ah yes, just what I needed
As a number one fan of Shu Uchida, She did an amazing job doing the accents.
*accents
@@yousorooo thanks. I guess i didn't see the typo
@@yousorooo grammar police so not necessary this is the internaet no one gives a shit
北米版ニジガク
The NA version isn’t dubbed by her, unfortunately.
Mari’s >>>
Are they trying to make the short blue haired girl in superstar the new English speakerz?
@@anderfu8273 no she is not
@@anderfu8273 I think it’s more Natsumi the CEO
Oh pretty bomber head
Wait, where's 'shit'?
She has a Higher level of Engrish, so she doesn’t have to (actually her English accept is really good). Only low level Engrish speaker say "Shit" "It’s Joke" "Fakk yoo". See Sora the Troll for lessons.
@@inisipisTV Damn Sora? Haven't watched him in a while! There's also George Japan's 'Swearing in Japanese' video! And Mia does say 'Shit' in her bond stories and the episodes on LLSIFAS
Im sad she never said shit even once
#LetMiaSayShit
Idols doesn't swear.
