yes, you can purchase hex extenders, amazon has a variety of them. you may want to get stiffer shocks if you do and maybe a size up like 80 or 90mm shocks, i beleave they come with 70mm. They have a lot of body roll due to the heavy solid hard body.

That's funny, because real jeeps are famous for ticking motors! We have replaced the RTR motors to Fusions, so no ticking.

I have few RC4WD crawlers, great RC's! As far as scale detail on the body out of the box, I would give them both a 9/10. Since the RC4WD has been around longer and RC4WD is known for being more scale than most other RC makers, they do offer alot of bolt-on options which are cool and add better realism, at a pretty hefty price. I Hate to say it but it all comes down to price and prefference. RTR RC4WD $529.99 vs RTR FMS $349.99, if I wanted to just have fun with a cool looking ride....FMS hands down, you would be able to buy different wheels and tires and still be under RC4WD. Either way, both are great RC's!!!

Not yet, to be honest I'm scared to take it off and not be able to get back on correctly. I have the RC4WD Cruiser and took the top off that and I still can not get the top to align up right to get it back on correctly.

We rewired the lights and now all of them have LED's which are operated from our transmitters. Most of the time we run the RC's in the afternoon, so they were just off. We turn them on if we are out late enough and we start to loose sun. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Right on, these little jeeps are nice and so detailed. I have an actual YJ Wrangler and tried to do a 1/10 version of it, but I failed on the "Golden Eagle" decals so it's just black and gold. We try to go out every Saturday but we haven't been out this summer very much....other things going on. The Crawl Space used to hold events but there're no longer down here. We went to one but we didn't enjoy it much, little too slow for us, lol! If you have time to come down just let us know so we can make sure we are there. We would love to come to Denver as well, we just don't know where a good spot is. Maybe we can hook up with you and you could show us where?
