Earthquake Earth Auger Powerhead Review!!
Doing this to my Beetle Dune! What size rims and tires are those? Out of all of the pictures of lifted bugs yours is the cutest
16x7 jeep rims with 215/70R16 tires. Thank you!!
What size and brand of tire are you running please?
General Grabber A/T 215/70R16
What size inlet does the stock Silverado have?I got my muffler and resonator deleted last year and I’m looking to buy a 6 in exhaust tip with a 2.5 inch inlet
I think the muffler inlet was 2.75" but it's been awhile so I am not positive!
Was that crack your back from getting older
I wish there was a laugh react..... 🤣
Yeah yeah yeah boy that's a good shit right there buddy
Heck yes, got a deal i hope? And the motors internals were well-protected under the original cover. Looks fast! Best wishes gettin her ship-shape! 🚤
Thanks! Someone paid us to remove it and it was delivered to its new home the other day!! They plan to restore it!
Ive found a lot of stuff in the trash that was perfectly good or even fixable. My mom found me a gamecube once. Still have it. Lol
she jumping in joy for that shi😂
who would just throw away their gamecube 😭😭😭
It makes us sad how much probably gets tossed... 😞
Fill the entire thing…now wait hear me out….cherry coca colas. I know it’s so smart
Lmao!
Fill with cherry coke
Makes the biggest bong ever
Beer cooler
Thats awesome 👌
My 2016 Sierra doing it now. 200k but runs great. Trans shop quoted me 6k to replace the trans. 85* day at startup my trans temp gauge reading 43*. Drove to the store got up to 153, Then dropped to 63 when I backed In. Temps all over the place.
Yeah if it has this code and is doing that I would expect the same thing to be the issue. Not a complete transmission replacement.
@@wrenchingcouple2034 thanks bro! Appreciate the video
Bigger wheels cot the fender to de next level
Absolutely stunning!
Cool car and story! And yas have a heeler too! Awesome!
Make it FWD or AWD.
Last one would be eficient😅
Nice looking VW bug! Maybe put some racing stripes on it! I didn't catch if that is a standard or automatic! Shifters are fun to drive, most of the older model VWs were standards! Maybe a thrush muffler for a little growl. Great video!
Thrush on a diesel is blastphemy. Big tractor stack out the hood only.
I did the same thing on my 18, loved the sound, but the performance was poor, and it threw up error codes due to lack of back pressure.
Sorry to hear that! So far I have had zero engine codes or lack of performance. Been 45,000 miles since it was cut off and truck now has 170,000 miles. If anything might have lost some fuel mileage but that also could be from getting on it more often. Thanks for the comment!
@@wrenchingcouple2034 I put a flow master on my 2017 with no valve or resonator. It’s a single cab. My fuel mileage went from average 21 22 mpg to average of 16mpg 😂 I guess not having back pressure done that.
Great video! I have a 2017 gmc sierra and have the same two codes p0700 and p0711. I want to assume since its the same year and same 8 speed transmission, then it probably has the two piece wiring harness. How did you know which harness to replace? Thanks.
The code for me was pointing to the transmission temp sensor. I did a little digging into a wiring schematic and confirmed with the local dealership as to which harness had the physical temp sensor attached to it. Luckily the one that has it is the easier to replace harness. Hope this helps!
What truck do you have? I'm having this issue on my colorado and need to replace the sensor. Alteady changed fluid thinking that's what it needed. P0711 returned. Going to replace the sensor hoping that will fix it
I have a 2017 Silverado. I would assume if you are having similar issues this could be it, but not 100% sure. Thanks!
@@wrenchingcouple2034 I think we have the same transmission lol. 8 speed POS
Bull Bar with lights and Fender Flares would be sick. Oooo and maybe a snorkel!
now put the truck bed kit on
Was it loud just with the muffler delete?
Cut off the bottom part of the front bumper
Excellent review. I have that same one, and it is great. And if you are "on the fence" (like the machine is during most of the video) DO NOT be afraid of the machine hitting a root or a rock and "tearing out your arm." I have found that when it happens, the auger either stops spinning, or, the head unit starts to turn, forcing you to release the throttle and the auger stops. If you still have doubts, work with a friend holding on, facing you, and you will learn how it works and soon be on your way. You will dig this auger!
Very cool!❤ where are you located? IL, OR WI? IM up by Gurnee. I was told the apr coils tend to go bad. I have the same ones, but havent had any issues. Nice build! Keep up the great work!
We are located in southern WI, so far the APR coils are holding up. However the car does randomly have misfire issues. We have been thinking its fuel related since its always right after filling up. The APR tune and coils definitely give the car some extra power and the wife loves it!
@@wrenchingcouple2034 have the valves checked for carbon build up! Notorious for that on these engines! You miggt have to have them walnut blasted, or chemically cleaned. I ended up putting a catch can on mine. Just a heads up. Good luck!
Answered all the questions I had, now time to do the same!
Take the lip off back and put a tyre carrier and spare tyre there
I'm doing something similar with a VW Caddy. I also need 4 motion parts to make it 4x4
Panoramic roof
I love it ...Louis from France
What happens with the valve? I wanna do it with mine but I’m scared with that valve gone for the AFK something will go wrong
Since eliminating the valve, muffler, and resonator I have had zero issues. I only keep the trucl in v8 mode with my Range device. Ive heard that if it goes into v4 mode with the valve out, you can get a decent drone from the exhaust sometimes.
Put a towing package on it so it can pull
Tannerite
Where did you find those wheels?
Bought the wheels and tires through Discount Tire. Then had them powdercoated to the color she was looking for!
@@wrenchingcouple2034 gotcha thank you. Car looks amazing the exact look I’m going for 🤙
Some KC lights b amazing you going to try out on some trails
We ordered some lights and will be looking into a roof rack! Hopefully we will make it to some trails this year once the weather warms up, wo see what the car may or may not be capable of.
@@wrenchingcouple2034 fingers crossed sure it be OK have you watched the beetle on tfl on RUclips did OK in fair.
No we haven't, we will have to look it up. Thanks!
@@wrenchingcouple2034 it's a good video bit old now and with a older beetle than yours but it fun to watch 👍
Its amazing ))
4 bumper lights on a rail and on top
Subscribing. I drive a mk4 TDI Golf lifted on Jeep springs. Knuckles is awesome.
Thanks for the subscribe! Lifted VW are cool, so I'm sure your car looks awesome as well!
Did you delete the one right after the cats? Or just ones underneath the bed.
I have the 3 cats. I cut it off like a foot after the third cat and straight piped it
was just about to ask the same question, going to delete the huge resonator and the muffler right before the exhaust tip, just like yours , it sounds perfect, doesn’t seem too loud
Hey what products did ya use for the delete?
There is three cats so there is one off each exhaust manifold and one after they meet. If you delete that I think you will not meet emissions. The muffler is just in front of the axle and the resonator is after the muffler. It is just behind the axle
If anyone knows; would this work for a 2018 VW Beetle? I can't find a confirmation on the VW High Life page it only says 1999-2010, if someone could help clear this up, thank you very much for your time!
Reach out to vwhighlife@gmail.com they will get you all the info you need. They have a kit for 2018 beetles.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, your beetle looks cool. I have a 2006 beetle convertible I would to lift 2 or 3 inches front and back where can I find a kit for that project I really appreciate your help Big Dog Houston TX.
Vwliftkits.com should have a kit for your beetle. Plus if you message them, they will be super helpful as to what tires and wheels will work with the lift!
Other than the CEL code, is there damage caused driving without changing the harness? I mean, is temp really fluctuating or just a bad harness reading as the problem?
In my opinion and I am no expert, I would say that the temp isnt fluctuating and it's just the reading back to the truck. I drove it for awhile while I diagnosed it and waited for parts and didnt see any trace of physical damage when I opened the transmission. My only concern is what affect the temp has on shift points. Maybe the temp read back has 0 affect on shiftingor anything transmission related other than being a warning. . That is something I didn't know so I just choose to fix the problem.
Wrong temperature causes it not to shift right.
So let's see it off road.
Someday we will take it off road. The plan is to take it down to the badlands when we get a free weekend!
luv the bug, looks great. I am trying to do the same for mine. what are the part numbers for USA wheel adapters? do you know if they make them in 2-inch spacing
Thank you! As far as I know there isn't part number. You kind of just find the ones the fit what you need. We went with a 5x112 to 5x5 wheel adapter that was 1/2" thick. I have seen some that are 2 inches thick. They can make custom ones too. You can search "usadapters" on ebay or here is their website: www.uswheeladapters.com/5-lug-wheel-adapters/ Thanks and good luck on the bug!
Thanks for the video
